"Well, the staff was friendly. There were things that needed to be addressed. At one point one of the kitchen breakfast staff lock the door at 9:30. The door was not able to be opened from the inside, which was a safety hazard. Had to ask to be unlocked so that we could exit the breakfast area.The water in the room tepid at most. Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. "This is a hidden gem! What a wonderful place to stay! very clean rooms and amenities. Friendly staff. Great breakfast spread. Option to do laundry for free. We also utilized the bike rentals for 2 consecutive days - it was a great experience. Would definitely recommend this place and return again in the future."
