Twin Cedars Cabin in the Woods! Birders paradise near Sipsey and Bankhead

Enjoy the rocking chair porch in the foothills of the Warrior Mountains with a treehouse view of bird habitat in every direction. Private ... no other houses in sight.

Hand built construction by Mark who felled each tree from our own land and built this cabin literally with his own two hands. The wrap around deck we call "Sally's Deck". Hurricane Sally provided the wood when she deposited a pile of docks on our Ft Morgan property. The natural wood interior is lovely!

The house is nestled back in the wood for a perfect feeling of seclusion while still being conveniently located to amenities around. The cabin was very clean and organized and offered almost any amenity you could really need. The wrap around porch was a great spot for hanging out with friends and perfect place to slowly wake up on the swing in the morning time. Host was very nice and communication was amazing! Would 100% stay again. If you are looking at this property for your next trip donā€™t hesitate to book.

We were in town for a family reunion. This is the second time we have stayed here at the cabin. We love It more each year. They have everything you could need. Very clean and very accommodating. Host was the best. Great at communicating and even checked on us due to some severe weather while we were there. Will definitely be back again.

We had a great stay! The house was very comfy and was perfect for us. We had to go back and forth to Jasper so location was great. We loved sitting out on the back porch. Itā€™s a lovely home.

Our VRBO home was exactly as described and so relaxing. An unexpected cold front came through but no worries, the electric fireplace more than warmed us. (Heat and air conditioning also available) but the ambiance the fireplace had made it much more comfortable. Loved the porch, swing, and rocking chairs, great coffee nook. We were a short distance to town and we loved the donkey artwork and reading about the history. We will be back as we saw many more places to see. Natural Bridge was beautiful and the waterways were worth seeing. Such a relaxing couple of days we had.

We absolutely love this place!! The peace and quiet but the fact you are a few minutes from town makes it perfect. Our fur babies can run and play. Plenty of room for family to come over and visit. The host is amazing!! Love,love

So quiet and beautiful!! Plenty of room for family and my dogs to run and play! Would recommend to anyone to stay a short drive to town! No noise so lovely!! Enjoyed every minute of it!! Will stay again and again!!

The title really says it all. Maggie was a great host who was extremely helpful and friendly. She gave us places to check out and responded quickly to any questions we had. The cabin was really perfect. It was very clean and had a welcoming feel to it. She had everything you would need plus even games for the kids to play. We arrived after dark and she told us it is easier to find in the daylight which is absolutely true, you could pass the driveway and not even realize it. Overall we couldnā€™t have asked for a better place to stay than at Maggieā€™s cabin and wouldnā€™t hesitate to stay there again.

We all loved the secluded cabin, surrounded by a forest. The covered deck overlooking the meadow was perfect to start the day with a cup of coffee. If you love nature this is your place. We will be back!

If you're looking for a little isolation, this place is great. Cellular connectivity isn't great (don't count on it working at all) but there is wifi. The television service is actually Samsung streaming TV (it's not satellite TV service) and the internet is satellite based so if you require high bandwidth connectivity this could be limiting. There appears to be a daily data limit after which point the bandwidth drops to the point that streaming services won't even work (beware if you're bringing kids that you plan to plop in front of netflix/prime for several hours a day). House is clean and spacious. As others have mentioned, both bathrooms are in/off the 2 bedrooms so if you have someone sleeping the loft, they'll need to enter a bedroom to use them. The back porch is a fantastic spot to relax and unwind. Property is very peaceful. The host was very hands off but fantastic with communications. Thank you. Overall a great spot in this area.

We really enjoyed our time here and just wished we had more time! The cabin itself was really unique and we had a lot of fun exploring outside. My 6 yr old's imagination ran absolutely wild, it was a great time!

The cabin is beautifully decorated . Well maintained and very clean .We loved the big porch, we spent alot of time out on it having family time and watching the squirrels jumping from tree to tree and lots of birds. It is so peaceful and relaxing at the cabin. I highly recommend this property. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation

This property is just amazing. The views were spectacular, great for landscape and nature photos. It was peaceful and welcoming. The hosts were great with communicating during check in and check out. Maggie and Mark thought of everything! We plan on going back! The rooms were nice, and how they incorporated all the nature inside the home was very nice. The waterfalls and natural bridge is a short distance from this location, and we wouldnt have known about the bridge without Maggie and Mark leaving the information. Thank you!!!

Amazing experience! We travel a lot and always pick out of the way places to stay. This was by far one of the best experiences. The way Maggie communicated with me made me feel I know her personally! She is a lovely host. Maggie pretty much guided me all the way from Dayton! She even gave me weather information along my route! The house... 1. Well equipped 2. Great interior 3. Large bedrooms 4. Beautifully furnished and decorated living room 5. They even added binoculars for bird watching along with a guide for bird watching 6. Indoor games 7. Outdoor grill 8. Large washer/dryers 9. They even provided towels for pets although we did not have a pet with us 10. Maggie shared her Instapot with me when i asked her if she had one in the cabin! 11. Internet was patchy but enough to watch a movie! You can log into your own Netflix or Prime and enjoy! 12. The wrap around deck is a great place to relax or just take a nap on the swing 13. Part of it is not covered so you can enjoy the warmth of the sun. Maggie and Mark thank you for taking care of us! Best of all its very reasonably priced!
