Thank you for your observations. The house is safer than you realize. The dog didn't come into the house until after 11 pm. I'll check the bathroom fixtures regarding the shower head. This has never been mentioned to me. Sincerely, Louise

Dear Deb. The room is as it's listed on the website, with a shared bathroom, which meets the home accommodation standards. The site is listed as pet friendly, so there is mention of animals on site. The breakfast is also listed as continental, and the contents of the breakfast are as specified. It also took me two days to catch up with you for payment for the room. I give you a 1 out of 5 as well, for leaving without paying and for bringing in 2 more guests than you listed, which you subsequently weren't charged for. Louise

I'm sorry about the dog odour. It's been a rainy summer and he's wet sometimes. Wet dog is a nasty smell. I try to keep him in the basement away from guests, so that it's not offensive. The sheets are satin, rather than cotton, so it is a different feel.

Yes, it is true that the bathroom is shared between two guest rooms and is not a private bathroom.

You're observations are interesting, but I think there is some confusion. The door is open for guests to return to their rooms during the day and you can be out late, but late night rules apply.

Dear Guest. I also have a concern regarding the payment, if you think that you've paid in advance. The reservation should have clearly stated that you pay me at the premises. I have no control over who books which room. Guests choose whichever room they prefer according to what is available. The only information that I have is the number of guests, I don't know if they are a couple, or individuals traveling together. I'll look into the site again for information on the configuration of the house. I thought that I did indicate the location of the rooms and the bathroom, but perhaps not on all sites. Thank you for taking the time to point out these details.

Since the advertised check in time is between 5 and 7 pm, the arrival at 4:30 is a bit too early. The bathroom is shared and is on the main floor, which is inconvenient for some guests, but this is an older house and the plumbing has always been in this location. The breakfast is as advertised as well.

Dear Guest, The bathroom is shared with only two rooms, which is as advertised in the website. The dog never accesses the tourist rooms and has never touched the towels. The breakfast is as advertised and no one tried to charge extra, it's included in the price of the room

Dear Guest Yes, the bathroom is shared, as stated in the advertising. This is room only, with no kitchen facility, so there isn't a sink in the room. It doesn't indicate water in the room,in the advertising. Also, I have no idea what the odour is, the bedding and towels had been freshly laundered and were clean when you arrived.

Dear Ronald Thank you for this review. I'm still tackling the unusual smell, since I don't know what it is. There is a lock on the bathroom door, but it's one that you're not familiar with. For us, this type of lock is common place.

Thank you for this review. I really don't know what the smell is. I don't notice it in the room and the sheets are laundered so that every new guests receives freshly laundered clean sheets. No one is sleeping on dirty sheets. I don't know what the problem is.

Thank you for this review. Yes, the breakfast is continental and it is advertised that way. I can't do anything about the configuration of the house. There are those that find the location of the bathroom convenient to the main floor bedroom The rooms are dusted every day, and the pillows are shaken to remove dust. The cases are laundered regularly. The sheets are laundered after every guest and new clean sheets are put on the bed. The windows close properly.

Hi Susan Thank you for your comments. The house is dated 1926, so the decor is a reflection of an older home and is intentional. I left the coffee as instant, just for the ease of it and because there's a whole jar there, so you can have as much as you want, instead of just one pot. Sincerely, Louise
