"Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel! Eric und sein Team waren äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit, was unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Besonders beeindruckend war der Garten, in dem es ein eigenes Faultier gibt. Die Mitarbeiter waren stets bereit, uns zu helfen, das Faultier zu finden und zu beobachten – ein echtes Highlight!

"It was very nice to stay out of town, yet conveniently close enough to walk to town. Very private and quiet. Just a couple of minutes walk away, from Nacho Mama's LB Burrito which was excellent! I will definitely stay at the Secret Jungle again. "

"We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. We weren't able to park our car in the lot as it was full but after contacting the host we were told it was fine to park on...

"Beautiful resort style hotel in the middle of the jungle, yet close enough to restaurants in town and the beach.
It has its own private parking lot. Lobby is very nice and sheltered from the rain. Staff communicates everything you need to know and is very friendly. The welcome drinks were a nice touch.
The pool is beautiful and clean. The bar is spacious and it seems there is something for everyone, even the kiddos.
Our double twin room was spacious and clean. I only wish it had a bedside...

The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shopping, making everything so convenient. The daily breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. "Good location to explore the region, but the place is more appropriate for local (Costa Rica) families as there is a pool used by children and adults from afternoon till late evening.
Also they don’t give you any information about the places to visit in the region…. most of my questions got: “I don’t know” as answers and they were all simple like where to park and etc."
"Its a standard hotel with nice location nearby the Main Street of Puerto Viejo, but away enough from the noise.
If you are going to arrive after 8pm, u must advise the staff, because there s no one in the front desk after that time.
Bedroom itself is just fine. Water from the shower it was a issue, because it had no pressure. Other than that, I would stay again!"
