Post Christmas getaway

Can’t beat the ocean front location, and the home was a perfect fit for our family with the primary suite, kitchen,dining and living rooms in rear portion of house, overlooking back patio and walkway to beach. Additional bedrooms are on front portion of house and separated by nice enclosed patio/play area. Highly recommended. Will likely become an annual stay for us.

Great property for family

As a family of six adults and one infant, we appreciated having the two separate buildings for privacy. The kitchen was well appointed and it was nice being so close to the beach where we enjoyed daily walks.Guests definitely need a car to get around the island. My only peeve was that we were expected to bring our garbage to a dumpster at the other end of the complex “to help our housekeeper”. For what we paid for this villa, we should not have had to be running around as we are trying to leave emptying cans and driving garbage to a dumpster. Overall, we were very pleased with the villa, appreciated getting the extra blanket when requested (the master bedroom only had a coverlet and it was cold some nights) and we would recommend the property.

Felt & furnished like a home

We had 5 adults and a dog for Amelia Island Dance Festival. we've stayed in lots of beach properties, this one felt like a home v a . There was plenty of space, the furniture was comfortable v cheap, and the kitchen was stocked enough to cook. Great outdoor spaces we could enjoy.

Location great and great set up for family with kids or even two families!

We have stayed next door to the same rental before and just love the location. Boardwalk over the dunes is like new and easy access to the beach. Setup of the rental has a small courtyard that separates the main house with a smaller guest cottage that is great for kids old enough to want some space. Allows parents a place to get some time together and the kids a space that they can congregate and still be behind a locked door leading out of the courtyard street side. We love this property and will return again for sure!

Great House

Great House! Well stocked and boardwalk straight to the beach! Wish I would have known that the part of the beach the house is on allowed cars. Took away from the experience with cars lining the beach. House is well stocked, but the 2 bedroom across the courtyard do smell musty and the carpets could use a cleaning or replacing. Overall not a bad experience.

Beautiful place to stay

absolutely beautiful place to stay, easy to get to, right on the beach, beds are comfortable. The only thing I would add is some throws for the couch, there were no extra blankets in the house, so bring some extra blankets especially if you have kids that want to snuggle while they watch TV.

Beautiful property! Both indoor and outdoor space was awesome! Amelia Island and Fernandina were so quaint with fun shops and great restaurants. Very memorable experience for our group of 8.

Watch the sunrise

This property was beautifully decorated, well appointed, an in an excellent location allowing us to walk the private boardwalk to the beach each morning, and catch a scrumptious breakfast at the Ritz Carlton a short walk away under an oak canopy. Excellent stay.

Great management. Not a great place.

I expected a 5 star beach house but it was not a very nice place. It wasn’t a. 3 bedroom it was a 1. With 2 in the garage. It was so bad that we left within minutes of arriving. Managment was very nice but we left and went to the ritz Carlton hotell

Broken fridge for 4 days - no refund given!

A nightmare experience! Our fridge was not working (it was 63 degrees) from the moment we stepped in the unit. We contacted the Mocks - no apology, they just said 'we'll send someone out'. When I followed up six hours later, they then said that we should give the fridge more time to cool down. I explained that it had been 24 hours at this temp, and to PLEASE send someone. I then had to follow up about fifteen more times (emails, texts and phone calls) over the next several days to get this resolved. Thankfully, there was a second fridge in a detached garage down a walkway, which was very unclean and had the owner's items in it. I trekked back and forth in the rain many times a day to get items. I asked for a partial refund for the days that the fridge was not working - they refused. After the fridge was finally fixed, the Mocks did not contact me once to confirm it was fixed. In addition, there was construction on the ramp to the beach right outside our unit. Music and construction noise from 8am throughout the day, which forced us to keep the doors closed the whole time. We were not informed of any construction and when we asked the Mocks about it, there was no apology or explanation. It is such a shame to write this review, because the unit is nice, attractive and clean overall! I would not have given a one-star review (even with some issues!) if the property managers were not a nightmare to work with and had done ANYTHING to make it right! If the owner changes property managers, go stay here! Until then, stay away!

Birthday weekend

My husband and I thought this property was perfect for our handicapped daughters surprise birthday celebration. It really suited us well to be able to stay in such a beautiful and well appointed place. We were able to fit six people comfortably had everything we needed while we were there. The only down side was when we tried to wheel our daughter’s wheelchair down the wooden walkway so she could see the beach. Apparently the walkway was rotted in several areas and as one section collapsed under her, she hit the side of her face on the railing. We were unable to use the walkway after that. The rest of our stay was wonderful however and we would love to come back another time.

Perfect getaway

Beautiful property on the beach with great views of the ocean. Main house is open and plenty of space for hanging with friends. The guest house is perfect for providing everyone with a private space. We are already planning on going back.

Lovely immaculate accommodations and great location!

Loved our stay here. Easy access to the beach and to area attractions. Decor was as pictured and beds were comfortable. We were 6 adults and 2 children with plenty of comfortable space for all. Loved the deck area and courtyard. Just a few things to suggest: there were not pillow cases for all the extra bed pillows, and we were short towels for all 8 of us.
