"The location is perfect, on beautiful grounds, nice view of the mountains, close to Turangi (where you can find restaurants) and about 30 minutes from the Tongariro National Park.
I was a little disappointed with the inside of the chalets, specially considering their prices. Decoration is rustic, but not charming.
When I saw them on the website (hotels.com) I had the impression I was booking another room, which looked better. Also, in the reservation it said "hot tub" but it turns out that...

"Meget søde værter. Super fin lejlighed med dejligt veludstyret køkken. Skinnende rent overalt og den skønneste lille terrasse bagved. Flot BBQ område foran med gasgrill som vi ikke benyttede. Navnet ‘pool’ refererer til et fiskeområde - der er ingen pool, men stedet kan varmt anbefales."

"Great helpful staff, nice and cozy unit. Plenty of blankets and heaters, kitchen had loads of cooking tools and dishes. Right on the lake! Restaurants nearby in Taupō were plentiful and grocery nearby made it convenient to shop for cooking in, too. Would totally come back!"
