"We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. It's a simple, no-frills place with basic amenities, but it delivered exactly what we expected. Don't judge a book by its cover. The room is renovated and unique. Breakfast was not included but you can purchase it, the day before. We asked for an English breakfast, paid in advance and was served in the morning at the scheduled time. "The oliver cromwell was very tired and dated. The carpet in the corridor was loose and a trip hazard, we couldn't get hot water from the shower (fine for the bath). Lighting was poor. The bar wasn't staffed. Bed was ok. On a positive note, the room had air-conditioned was was appreciated"
"Perfect for the Warren Hill gallops & High St too. The air-con works - a blessing in this current heatwave. Staff are helpful & courteous. It's the first hotel I check out if I go racing at Newmarket. Walking distance of The Nat Horseracing Museum & Sporting Art. Night club & Geegees wine bar in walking distance. Also the dinner menu is excellent too. Recommended."
