"Pet-friendly location, ideal if you want to explore the surrounding areas of outstanding beauty. As advertised, it backs into a busy A road so don't expect to be able to relax in the garden for long. Once the doors are windows are shut though the noise from the road is hardly noticeable inside. Property was clean and as advertised, easy to access. Communication with the host was minimal but very efficient. "From the moment we arrived, everything was totally fab! Beautifully located, the accommodation was spotless, homely and very cosy. We opted to have our hot tub warm and ready for using as soon as we arrived and it was such a treat. It was hot and we had windows open so it was loud outside as the property is right on the street. Loved the beach cottage! Notice though that the "shower" is a actually a tub under a slanted roof with a hand sprayer. My 6'5" husband had a very difficult time with the set up. "The Lodge is beautifully clean , well equipped and with access to a lovely garden and views of all the inquisitive wildlife .. We enjoyed the walk along the River Lim to Lyme Regis and onwards to a walk along the coastal path and back to Uplyme. There isn't much in Uplyme , but Lyme Regis is close , especially by car , where we found very good restaurants . We had a fabulous weekend break and would highly recommend the Lodge."
