"Great hotel, great staff, great food, and really great golf. Stayed at The Machrie for my 60th Birthday, mainly to play the golf course, but also as a base to explore Islay. We’ve stayed in many hotels - this was one of the best experiences we’ve had. My wife suffers from Coeliac Disease so has to have a strict gluten free diet. "O hotel parece uma casa abandonada, tudo muito vazio, vc não vê ninguém. O café da manhã era muito ruim, sem opções , somente coisas industrializadas, sem pão fresco etc. uma funcionária apenas, que não tinha nenhum preparo para hotelaria . Não voltaria !! "

"This hostel was incredibly clean, including the room, showers, toilets, and the shared kitchen and lounge. I have stayed in hostels several times before, but this is the cleanest one I have ever experienced! The hostel managers were also kind and very warm people; they really looked after me! If I have the chance to visit Islay again, I would definitely stay here and would highly recommend it to my friends!"

"With no prior warning, the hotel manager totally amended our arrangements for our stay at the hotel. The hotel phone was not answered and voicemail messages were ignored. As a result, after travelling to Oban to catch the ferry, we had no alternative other than to cancel our trip at the last minute."
