The room we were given was on a floor with no elevator access, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs.
The shower wasn’t great either—it was hard to get the temperature right. Plus, the shower curtain was really dirty and had a bad smell."
"Wonderful accommodations. Stayed in one of the front rooms of the guesthouse, which has a beautiful view overlooking the town. Comfortable bed in a quiet room made for a great night’s sleep. Hosts were very friendly and helpful in giving recommendations of places to eat and things to do in town. Highly recommend The Herring House for your stay in Siglufjörður."

"The place architecturally isn't "beautiful" or "luxurious". However, it is sparkling clean and has all the amenities you can think of. Everything just works. The staff are super helpful. I had some laundry that needed to be done and they were able to help me out. I had some things that needed to be air dried and they were able to accommodate. The next morning, I was able to pick up my clean and dry clothes.
The breakfast was also quite good and was a true buffet.
