Cozy Forest Chalet + Hot Tub | 30-45 Min to Yellowstone
Welcome to The Little Chalet, a cozy wood cabin tucked into the trees of Island Park, Idaho — about 30–45 minutes from Yellowstone’s West Entrance.
This little cabin makes a great Yellowstone basecamp. After a long day exploring the park, come back, relax on the spacious deck, soak in the private hot tub under the stars, or gather around the fire pit and enjoy the quiet forest surroundings.
The Little Chalet is best suited for 1–3 adults or a small family looking for a comfortable and peaceful place to stay near Yellowstone. It’s not a luxury lodge and not a party house — just a charming cabin with warm wood walls and classic mountain character.
🌲 Outdoor Space
One of the best parts of the cabin is the outdoor space.
• Large private deck surrounded by trees
• Private hot tub for relaxing after a day in Yellowstone
• Fire pit area perfect for evening campfires and stargazing
• Peaceful forest setting
It’s a great place to enjoy morning coffee, listen to the wind in the trees, or unwind after a day of exploring.
🌲 Location
The cabin is located near Mack’s Inn in Island Park, with easy access to many local favorites:
• Yellowstone National Park (West Entrance) – about 40–45 minutes
• Big Springs & Johnny Sack Cabin
• Henry’s Lake
• Island Park Reservoir
• Earthquake Lake
• ATV trails, fishing, hiking, and boating
The property sits in a quiet wooded cabin neighborhood. It feels peaceful and forested, but there are neighboring cabins nearby.
🛏 Sleeping Arrangements
The Little Chalet is a compact cabin with an open layout.
Loft Sleeping Area
The loft features a comfortable queen log bed and a cozy ceiling that slopes down along the sides. You can stand comfortably in the center, but getting into bed is a little snug — most guests climb in from the foot of the bed or carefully along the side.
It has a fun treehouse-style feel that many guests love.
Guests with mobility concerns may find the loft challenging.
Main Level
• Queen sleeper sofa
• Best for 1 adult or 2 children
The living and sleeping areas share the same open space except for the loft.
🍳 Kitchen (Simple & Functional)
The studio kitchen works well for simple vacation meals and includes:
• Mini fridge with small freezer
• Microwave
• Toaster oven
• Dishwasher
• Garbage disposal
• Basic cookware and utensils
• Dining table seating for 4–5 (cozy seating)
Great for breakfast, packed lunches, and simple dinners.
