Welcome to Hillside Retreat! Newly remodeled cabin with amazing views of Henry's Lake and the surrounding mountains. Just a short 15 mile drive over the continental drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Hillside retreat sleeps 6 with 3 private bedrooms, and 2.5 baths. Beautiful fully equipped kitchen upgraded with granite countertops, and stainless appliances. Sit on the front deck and watch the sunset behind Sawtelle Mountain after a day of recreation.

Main floor - entry/mudroom, 2 bedrooms, and a 3/4 bath with laundry.
Second floor - main living area. Kitchen, living room, full bath, and 1 bedroom,
Third floor - Living room, and 1/2 bath.

Nicely remodeled

The bedroom downstairs didnā€™t have a working fireplace and they brought space heater the next day but it seemed it had been broken for a while and first night we were cold in that room and it made a very discerning burn smell. Coffee pot also was broken. Then upstairs you see a queen bed but they tell you not to use it because itā€™s for the owners only. Also the photos show a queen with a twin, that is what you get in the second basement room. Not sure why it says 3 queens only.

Perfect Family Cabin

This property was perfect for our family of five. It was very clean with plenty of amenities! The loft with the oversized cozy couch and arcade machines were a hit with our kids. The lack of AC shouldnā€™t be a problem if you keep the blinds shut during the day and open the windows at night. Great communication by the management company. Close to plenty of adventures. We would definitely come back.

Immaculate house inside

The inside of the house is very nice down to the appliances, furniture, decor, etc. If it's going to be hot... there is no A.C. We opened windows at night and sucked cold air in to cool it down.

Great house

We spent two weeks exploring Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton and were definitely spoiled by our three night stay here. We loved the layout, especially the upstairs space. The bedroom fireplaces were amazing to come back to after hiking in snow and cold for three days.

Quiet location with 20 minute drive to West Yellowstone NP entrance.

Beautiful rustic cabin with perfect accommodations for 2 senior couples. My only recommendation would be to add a grab bar in bathtub as the surface is very slippery.

The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. The road leading up to the house was in very bad shape and the yard was overgrown. We were unable to use the firepit because of 4' weeds all around it. Could only see it from the upper deck.

Villecco Yellowstone Trip

This property was a perfect find. Not far from West Yellowstone and close enough to explore the Tetons and Jackson Hole. It overlooks a beautiful lake (Lake Henry) and a beautiful mountain range. Home is spacious and well designed/appointed. Hoping to return.

Staying at location.

Great location. Wonderful view of mountains.Great and comfortable rooms. Jamie was great.Short drive to Yellowstone park entrance. Go early before park opens are after 1pm. Not as crowded. Our only suggestions would be:not enough Chester drawers. Had to leave several cloths in suitcases.could really need railings going up and down stairs.It was really difficult taking suitcases up the stairs.Would also suggest Grab bars inside showers for safety reasons. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Thank you.

A Must Stay!

The Hillside Retreat was a perfect stay for our family during our Yellowstone vacation. The view of the mountains and lake was spectacular. The upstairs playroom and couch was ideal for relaxing after our long days of exploring. We loved this property so much, our kids want to move to Idaho!

Great place - would highly recommend!

Excellent communications with the property manager in providing details in advance of our stay and communicating very promptly with an inquiry I had. The home itself was very nice. The view was looking out towards the lake and the mountains in the background. Very quiet and peaceful area. The drive into the town of West Yellowstone was far and the town itself had plenty of restaurants and shopping. We sure enjoyed our time and will definitely keep this place in mind when we return to the area.

This property was newly renovated. Everything looked brand new and so clean. Jamie was excellent and easy to work with. She was always prompt in getting back with me. Great places to eat in town (which was about 12 miles down the road). Would definitely stay here again

Great Accommodations for Yellowstone Trip

Great place to stay near Yellowstone. Very quiet location and remote. Very clean and updated. Comfortable beds and couch upstairs. Very cool downstairs shower with good water pressure and temp. I have nothing bad to say about this VRBO.

La cabaƱa es mĆ”s hermosa en persona. Tiene un balcĆ³n con vista al Henrys Lake. Por las noches nos sentamos a ver las estrellas. La entrada a west Yellowstone park solo queda a 15 minutes. Si quieren disfrutar de unas vacaciones en west Yellowstone este es el lugar perfecto.

Perfect Yellowstone Vacation

We were a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens) vacationing to Yellowstone. This place was perfect! 15 minutes from the West Entrance which was the perfect place to see most of the park. The space was extremely clean, spacious and still cozy. We had plenty of room to spread out. The views are breathtaking. Beds and furniture super comfy and it had all we needed. Communication and check in was seamless. If you are visiting Yellowstone, highly recommend this place to stay!

Even better than the pictures suggest

The pictures make the place look great, but it was even nicer in person. We stayed for 10 days, very comfortably. Every room was well appointed and the house was extremely clean. When there were some small problems with the dishwasher and the screen door, the owner came and tried to take care of them right away. They were even nice enough to leave a little surprise for us as a thank you. So sweet!!! The views from the porch are awesome, particularly in the morning. We had a robin that was incubating four eggs in her nest under the porch roof. We loved checking on her. The convenience store and the crepe truck at the bottom of the hill were WAY better than we were expecting. So good for a quick dinner and for lunches to take on our way to the park. :-)

Beautiful property

We booked this property at a reasonable rate 3 months before our trip. To our dismay, Yellowstone closed due to flooding just two days before we were to stay here. We decided to continue our trip, but threw in a couple of other sites on our visit. We had to spend extra time in the unit, and it did not disappoint. Everything was in good working order, and very clean. It also looked like it had been recently renovated. When we come back to see Yellowstone, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
