"The Yearling will always have a very special place in my heart. It is old Florida charm at its finest. The cabins are not 5-star accommodations, but rather exactly what you would expect to find located on Cross Creek between Lake Orange and Lake Lochloosa. They are clean, comfortable and offer an excellent view of the creek. The neighborhood peacocks call to each other while birds and other wildlife occasionally travel by. My husband and I have stayed three times so far and would love to go back...

"We have stayed with them before and loved it so much that we wanted to come back again. It was even better than we remembered and we can't wait to come back a third time. Very clean and love the fenced yard. Our dog Sammy had a good time chasing lizards! Ate breakfast out in the screened in porch every morning and it was so fun to listen to all the different types of birds and all the different woodpeckers too. Thanks for a relaxing time!"

"Clean, spacious, host was communicative and kept us in the loop as we unfortunately were without WiFi our whole stay due to a cut wire in the neighborhood. House was clean. Backyard is fenced in. Unfortunately there aren’t a ton of amenities (no extra towels, sheets, the couch was not actually a fouton but was a very comfy couch none the less) - overall I would love to stay here again. Just bring exrra towels or sheets if you’re using more than the two beds, and I would also maybe suggest...

"My husband and I came for a weekend to see our sons who are students at UF. We needed a dog friendly place and this is it—the back is fenced so we could let them out while we were back there—so easy. The house was well appointed—nice tile, linens, and fixtures, better than I expected. It is also close to downtown restaurants and pretty close to UF too. “Tiny” home but actually plenty of room. It would have been fine to have one of my sons stay upstairs in the loft so this place is also good for...

"We truly enjoyed our stay in this log cabin. It is much more then we ever expected. Clean and cozy, comfortable with details. Kitchen had everything we needed, beds are comfortable, gas grill and charcoal grill outside on a porch. Fresh eggs was just heavenly delicious. Thank you Dayne for your hospitality and for taking great care of this beautiful house and surrounding. We are Family of 5 plus mom and my sister's family. We stayed comfortably for 4 night. Thank you again. We will be back soon."
