Cabin without the commute!

Brand new and clean family cabin! 21' Ercoa pontoon with 50hp 4 stroke Honda motor on the dock ready to rent. (Please contact host for details) This cabin was completely renovated in 2020 to a 4 season escape just 45 minutes north of the cities. Beautiful western sunset exposure consisting of a wall of lake facing windows, open floor plan, large center island in the kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a loft, and 1.5 baths. There is a large deck on the 2nd floor perfect for relaxing with your morning coffee soaking in all that the lake has to offer. Both bedrooms have a patio door onto the deck. The property has a flat, grassy lake lot only steps from the water that is perfect for hanging out playing yard games. Also a sandy beach and large campfire pit along the shore. There is also a new dock.
Long lake is an energic 390 acre recreational playground consisting of 3 separate bays with plenty of pan fish, northern and walleye pike. Sunrise resort is on the north side of the lake with a great outdoor dining experience including public dock space to pull your boat in for a visit. This lake is filled with casual pontoons strolling by with plenty of waterskiing and jetskiers to keep you entertained! There is a public boat launch with ample parking only 1/4 mile away. Onsite we have a paddleboat and canoe available for you to use to add to your lake experience fun. Pontoon available for daily rental.

Perfect Cabin for a young family

The cabin was the perfect lake getaway for our family. its only an hour north of twin cities. On a smaller lake, which is perfect as it was quieter. The water is not as deep and there is a small beach area right on the property which was great for our kids to be able to walk in and swim. The host let us use their lake toys. We were also able to rent the pontoon from the hosts - nothing fancy but worked great and cant beat the convenience factor. The cabin is not airconditioned - there is one window AC and lots of fans for circulation which was good, but can get a little warm. Also the rooms are on the smaller side, and a tight fit. For a family with kids though it was great. and we anyways spent most of the time outside or on the water.

Very relaxing and fun!

Overall we had a very pleasant stay. The house had several areas (deck, patio, rooms, etc) for everyone to feel comfortable and get away from the group if needed. When walking in the front door I got a cozy beachy vibe. The kitchen was fully stocked with not only essential items but also non essential items such as a toaster oven, electric skillet etc. Additionally, there were several items available in the shed for water use and fishing. The neighbors were very friendly and seemed approachable if we needed help with anything. The host was very helpful and responsive, even the one evening when I had a question pretty late in the evening. We came into town for the State Fair and wanted to be close to family (12 min from parent's house) and the drive to and from the fair was great! We went out on the pontoon that was clean and had a supply of life jackets. Everyone we encountered on the lake was friendly. The lake was really nice for swimming and boating. The ground was a soft sand and wasn't super deep pretty far out so we had a lot of room to play. There is a restaurant/bar across the lake that was great as well. It was nice to have the option to eat there on the first day after driving in from Ohio. I liked that we were still on the lake but didn't have to worry about cooking. Cooking at the house was nice as well due to the fully stocked kitchen, oven, stove, grill outside and fire pit.

Wonderful family stay!!!

Katie is great! So communicative and Very quick to get back to you if there are any questions. The cabin is on the smaller side, but was perfect for our family of four. The beach is sandy and very shallow if you have a little ones. Definitely rent a pontoon!

Great option close to cities. Loved Pontoon.

This was a great stay for our family with two kids and a dog. We loved the short drive and flexibiity of the host. We really enjoyed pontoon rides as well. Thanks for good stay.

Great lake property!

We had a great stay at Katie’s cabin! The property was very clean and Katie was super responsive/helpful leading up to and during our stay. We loved being right on the water — the little beach area is so nice! We were there over the 4th and the fireworks were amazing all weekend. The house is on the smaller side for a group of 8 but it didn’t bother us since we had great weather and spent most of our time outside. Overall we would highly recommend this cabin!
