"In the hustle and bustle of the electrical contracting world, this place was a perfect retreat from the grind. The hot tub was amazing and the views were even better. The cabin was very comfortable and the AC worked very well and thank goodness it was 100 most of the week. Will be taking other adventures soon and you’ll be at the top of the list for communicating on future endeavors.!"

"The pictures on the listing were not accurate in representing the state of the current state of the house. The fence in the back is wire with stakes and not a fence. One of the main reasons we selected the cabin and the deck was a mess. The place was clean except there was an old pair of previous visitors' underpants on the sofa. The neighborhood dogs got out of their fence and aggressively chased us down 3 times, and other dogs down the road would chase our car. The next-door neighbors' trash...

"A beautiful spot in a very nice community! We loved having such a nice view of the lake in front of the house. Very quiet and peaceful and the hot tub was great! The area rugs had quite a few crumbs near the couch and the dining table, as the roomba vacuum did not seem to do the job on the rug areas. The wood floors were very clean though! I ended up vacuuming myself on the first night with the regular vacuum in the cabinet by the door. We had some issues with the TV in the living room as well...

"Check-in went smoothly and good communication from the host. Inside the cabin was clean for the most part and relaxing. The master bed was saggy in the middle, but I brought to thier attention so hopefully they fix it. The outside pictures didn't match the photos. The cabin definitely could used some TLC. The grass needed mowed, but it was very peaceful. We seen some wildlife and the neighborhood was quite. It was probably 15 minutes from dollar general and 30 minutes from anything else. All and...

"This cabin needs a LOT of care. It was OK for our purposes, because we just needed a place to sleep more than anything, but if we were actually looking to "vacation" or "rest and relax" it left a lot to be desired--especially regarding upkeep and how it was furnished
1. Our sheets had HOLES in them!
2. No toiletries, other than body wash in the bathroom
3. No bath mat
4. Insufficient towels

"This cute little cottage (a converted carriage house) was perfect for my stay in Harper's Ferry. The cottage was well maintained, clean and cozy. I would definitely stay there again - particularly if I came in a car (it is near the top of a tall hill, and I came by bike off the C&O towpath, which was a climb!).
Notes: (1) there are two rentals with the same address, a house and this carriage house out back. I had a mildly embarrassing moment when I showed up and tried to enter the wrong house....

"Perfect location! We love to walk everywhere we can and explore and from the house you can get to lower town Harpers Ferry and all the little restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops along the way. The recommendations provided were all great and Snallygasters across the street, Rabbit Hole, Bolivar Bread Bakery, and Epigram Coffee (don’t forget the pastries) were all amazing.
