"Unfortunately the check in process was very poor. Despite contacting the host the day prior to arrival we had no return contact back re- keys to get in. Hence unable to get into the property.Phones calls to and fro, fortunately the agent did supply us with the keylock number despite saying we did not have a booking.We were able to supply booking date and payment record.The next day the owners agent said she had to ask us to move out as we didn't have a booking and suggested that Stayz is a scam...

"The room was as shown in the pictures and it was comfy. This is a good place for stroking our fork if you’re into hiking and mountain biking. Located above “Out Out” restaurant it is a bit noisy and hot in the room but the windows open easily and let in plenty of fresh air. It did the job for a weekend for a solo traveller but it would be a bit of a squeeze for two adults - the under bed storage is big enough for bags etc and the bed itself was comfy. "We all absolutely no complaints on our stay, the properly was cleaned for our arrival and we even had a cake with some wine left for our arrival. I only gave 4 stars for accuracy of online listing due to the maps location on the posting did not match where the location actually was and we got a lil lost but a quick call with the host and we found it. "The property had a few drawbacks during our 4-day stay in Scotland. While the overall experience was generally positive, there were a few areas that could use improvement: The beds were not very comfortable. They were two separate single beds pushed together rather than a proper double/queen bed. This caused the beds to shift and separate during the night, disrupting sleep. Additionally, the beds were at slightly different heights, which was awkward. Sound insulation from the ceiling was poor....

"We had a large family gathering and the house and grounds are beautiful. Kitchen was well equipped. The outdoor area was beautiful and fun for the younger kids to stretch their legs. The furnishing was elegant but very comfortable. Everyone loved it and would stay here again."
