"Was a great weekend other than the tub was dirty! Had stuff floating in it! The whole reason for getting that room was the jacuzzi tub and we couldn’t use it! Other than that the view was amazing and the staff were great. Will definitely stay again just a different room. "

"This cottage was a wonderful way to enjoy the area during the day and retreat to quiet a bungalow at night. We’d catch the sunset out past pudding creek and head back to the warmth and serenity of the cottage. A great place to sip morning coffee, read a book, and listen to music. It is clean and well appointed with towels, linens, and kitchen supplies. The heater is very efficient in warming up too! Spencer was very communicative - checking in and out was a breeze. "The house was adorable and perfect for our relaxed little family of four and fur kids. We are easy going and really don’t need too much. With that said it was a rainy weekend and the walk from our vehicle to the house was extremely wet, socks, shoes, bottom of pants soaked. A nice little stepping stone walkway would be awesome. But unlike the rest of my family I packed rain boots and didn’t have an issue. The area was serene the hike to the beach definitely a crows mile, we didn’t ever end up...

"My two grown sons and I try to get up to the Ft. Bragg area for a few days every year about this time, and we found this place to be just about perfect in every way. Owners John and Wendy were excellent hosts, both friendly and accommodating. The house itself had tons of character, something I always look for in accommodations when we stay there in that area. I would stay there again in a heartbeat."

"We love staying in this comfortable cottage. We come with our kayak group and many of them camp in Mckerricer and this cottage is almost inside the state park. Very close to the beach and a beautiful coastal bike trail. The home is clean and has everything you need for a great vacation stay. We've stayed here multiple times and will be coming back in the future."

"Visited with family during labor day weekend and everyone loved the stay. The location of the property is absolutely amazing with access to many beautiful beaches in close proximity. The property does full justice to the surrounding views of mountain, ocean and star gazing in the night. It was clean and well maintained. Appreciated the small thoughtful articles placed in the house by the hosts to make the satay very comfortable. Highly recommended!"

"We had a lovely time staying at Sea Gate in Westport. The house was perfectly appointed, warm and cozy, bright and friendly. We loved sitting on the deck looking out over the Pacific Ocean as it roiled and splashed over the rocks. And we were lucky to have perfect weather all week. We hope to return again in the future."

"Overall it was a place to sleep and eat and shower. We had to fix the glass shower doors because they were off the tracks. The bathroom door took full physical strength to make it latch by lifting up and pushing in. It was cold inside, couldn't find a heater. Exterior needs a lot of upkeep. The old decking was very slippery and so is the green painted concrete, some of the decking on the walkway was loose and there was a piece that was already broken when we got there.
