Cheerful decor, spacious rooms, and thoughtful touches in this renovated home in the historic Bates-Hendricks neighborhood make it perfectly suited for your trip to Indianapolis! Make yourself at home in this 2 story, spacious home, complete with a full kitchen, wi-fi, and laundry room. It's a 5 minute drive to Bankers Life, Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indianapolis Convention Center and all the downtown amenities. Also, a short walk to Fountain Square area for fantastic restaurants and night life.

The space
This home was originally built in 1920 and still retains much of it's vintage charm! The location makes it a breeze to get downtown or to one of the other cultural districts for nightlife and activities. This space and location is ideal for families or groups of friends who are coming into town to explore the city or go to an event. The home accommodates 6 comfortably. There are enough beds and air mattresses to sleep 9 at the maximum, for groups looking for an economic choice, but please note that there is only one full bathroom (and one half bathroom) and the living areas are setup for smaller groups.

Guests are able to access the main floor, which consists of a living room, dining room, kitchen, main floor bathroom/laundry room, as well as the upstairs which consists of 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. The basement is off-limits for guests.

Very good place to stay for any events at Lucas Oil. Dishes were left in dishwasher from previous gusts. I think they were clean. We left in and did not use any. Walks are thin. We could hear the people in the other sides conversations. We were iffy about the neighborhood. We chose to Uber instead of walk the mile and a half to the stadium area. Overall great place.

Pros: *Beds were comfortable *House was clean *Very responsive Cons: *Locked out upon arrival had to get alternate code after trying both doors. *Huge step up/down on last step on the back Stairs *Stained/bleach spotted washcloths and Towels *No hot water for a 3 night stay *Moldy shower curtain *Very loud in the room by the street at night Bring a Sound machine! *No towel in drying ring of bathroomsā€¦ Could have been elsewhere, but why not Ready for guests? Having No hot water in Indianapolis in November is a BIG deal. Freezing shower is not what we expected! He did offer to move us to another rental but not the same amount of bedrooms and farther away than we wanted to be since using Uber. Offered us to go shower there as well but it was just not convenient to our schedule. We were very patient with owner and kind about issues. He even let us flip the breaker in the basement ourselves when we were trying to get enough hot water to shower. Asked for refund of $35 each for 4 people (which was less than one nights stay) and was denied since he offered stay elsewhere. Would have cost him more than one night rental to have both properties cleaned, than we were asking to be refunded. Messaged me to let me know hot water heater was being replaced after we ended our stay.

It was nice to be relatively close to Lucas oil stadium. The stairs getting into the townhouse were difficult to handle and the front door lockbox didnt work. The shower was incredibly slippery! The owner needs to put something down on the tub or install bars to hold on to. Overall, the townhome was a decent place to sleep.

My friend and I met here with our two teens as itā€™s half way between where we live. House is within walking distance of cute restaurants (daiquiri factory, coffee shop and burger place). Very close to downtown - dog friendly neighborhood (coffee shop gave him treats). House is spacious and comfy but itā€™s very basic so if you need fancy wouldnā€™t recommend. It was budget friendly and fun area so perfect for what we were looking for. Owner also very responsive.

Clinton was good to work with. He responded to texts quickly if we had a question. We came into town for the MEQ volleyball tournament. Parking at the house was easy as was getting to the convention center which was about 1.5 miles away. The house was older but quaint and aside from having only one shower, our stay was just fine.

We we went to Monster Energy Supercross at Lucas Oil Stadium. The distance is walkable, we walked one leg and took a Lyft the other. House was spacious enough so my teen could have time to himself in one of the bedrooms. My kids first time in a VRBO.
