"We had a great and comfortable stay at this historic hotel. We were happily surprised about the bar in the basement, the friendly bartender and the delicious cocktails. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was tasty and fresh. "

"The staff at the hotel were so friendly and knowledgeable. We did not know any of the history of the hotel or town when we booked our stay and everyone was so kind in welcoming us and sharing with us the unique history! Highly recommend staying here for a few nights to tour all the town has to offer."

"Lovely historic hotel with modern amenities in the heart of a small town on the river front. Once checked in I could have all of my needs met by foot! A nice brewery, restaurants and the river front all within a mile. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever enjoyed in a hotel. Hours are spotty, but I did get to enjoy both the basement Speakeasy as well as the dining room for breakfast. Wonderful stay overall."

"I had an issue getting into my room after returning and the staff was very gracious and put me into a dofferent room and drove 30 minutes to help rescue me so i could get my belongings from the room. I would stay here again. Has wonderful historic charm. "

"It was very roomy and easily accessible. The views were amazing. Would recommend to anyone anytime!!"

"This was what we were looking for. Close to Grand Maris and surrounding area. On the lake was beautiful, super full moon on the water.accommodations meant with our needs. Plenty of space for 5. The only complaint was the futon. It was not comfortable at all. Brought in chais from the deck. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves in the rental."

"The location we had originally booked canceled our reservation due to selling property and issues with plumbing. Upon searching for something close we stumbled across this amazing property. Granted its not on the water like the place we originally had, but this location slept more people, was large, had 2 bathrooms, a cleaning room for fish, a huge kitchen, was decorated very nicely with outdoor theme, and the owners were very accommodating, easy to work with and fast to respond. "My extended family 9 adults and 4 kids (0-4 years) stayed here for a weekend and it was great. The space was open, enough room for all of us to sit and be together and not feel like we were on top of each other. Super clean place. Gorgeous views. It has been one of our best VRBO experiences. Had everything we all needed! "

"The carriage house was very nice. The bedrooms are a bit strange as you have to go through the main bedroom to get to the bunkbed room. The downside of things was we brought our dog and there was only one dog friendly dining option around. Reads Landing Brewery says pet friendly on their website, but they aren't. You have to sit away from the building on the picnic tables, serve yourself and can only order appetizers off the menu."

"Great location for walking to US Bank Stadium or up a few blocks for restaurants, Target Center, shopping. I enjoyed the character of the apartment and the building. Internet works well. Having a few cokes and water in the fridge was a helpful touch the owner provided. Speaking of the owner, Chris is very helpful and goes above and beyond to provide great service. He and his wife help serve their community and it's fun to do business with people who give back. A+ all around."
