Immersed in an idyllic landscape of woods and olive groves in the Tuscan countryside, Villa La Medicea with swimming pool is the ideal retreat for anyone wishing to relax in the greenery without straying far from Florence. The property has 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and can sleep up to 16 people and was completly refreshed on Winter 2024

This magnificent property is located a few minutes from Florence along the road leading to Impruneta, home of the famous 'cotto' that Brunelleschi used for the dome of the Duomo.

Villa La Medicea with swimming pool is a typical Tuscan farmhouse surrounded by rolling hills and is part of the Medicean estate of Villa Corsini di Mezzomonte. The property includes a vast garden that extends to the swimming pool, ideal for cooling off in a fairytale setting during torrid summer days. The pool is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas and is open for the summer season from April.

An evocative private tree-lined drive leads to the entrance of the property. T The traditional courtyard with loggia overlooking the surrounding countryside welcomes guests with comfortable sofas ,creating a welcoming environment both for those arriving after a long journey and for those who like to cool off during sunny summer days.

Villa La Medicea with swimming pool consists of the main building, divided into two independent units, and an adjoining studio apartment with separate entrance. The main body of the villa is on 2 levels.

The interiors are pervaded by a warm and cosy atmosphere, typical of country houses, characterised by furnishings in the most exquisite Tuscan style and traditional materials such as 'cotto' and wooden beams.

THE LOGGIA

On the ground floor there is an elegant living room with fireplace and dining room in one, perfect for conviviality and sharing; all the rooms overlook the surrounding park. The floor is completed by a marvellous Tuscan-style masonry kitchen, fully equipped and connected to the external loggia by a very practical French window for summer lunches and dinners. On the first floor is the sleeping area with 2 double bedroom, a large dressing room, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with tub.

THE TERRACE

From the external loggia shared between the 2 units, you access the other portion of the house structured on 3 levels. The ground floor consists of a delightful living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a service bathroom. On the upper floor there are two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with tub and one with shower.

THE TOWER

From La Terrazza, a convenient staircase leads to the authentic jewel of the structure, the splendid room in the tower with a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside.

THE BARN

Attached to the building but totally independent is the lovely studio apartment that houses 2 double bedroom with bathroom and can also be used as accommodation for any service personnel.

Please note that during the summer season the minimum stay is 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday.

Along with the set of bathroom towels, one additional larger towel is also provided, which can be used at the pool.

Villa Medicea, thanks to its location at the gateway to Chianti, is a privileged starting point for exploring and discovering this magnificent area between Florence and Siena, a source of inspiration for the greatest masters of art and literature.

- It's necessary to have a car to reach the property.

- The swimming pool (7x14mt) is not heated and is only open during the summer months.

- Swimming pool access is through a small path.

-Please note that during the summer season the minimum stay is 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday.

Standard check-in time: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Check-in by 7:00 PM is included in the price of the stay and does not incur any additional charges.

**We generally allow check in anytime after 11:00 AM, though we cannot guarantee the apartment will be cleaned until 3:00PM
