"Clean, comfortable room with a lovely staff. I was a little surprised that the bungalows didn’t have a private bathroom though. I would have expected this at the rate that was charged. I was also surprised that there was no shampoo in the shared bathroom and hair dryers were not in the room or bathroom. I was able to get a hair dryer from the staff but some of these items weren’t really highlighted in Expedia’s description. Expedia also didn’t mention the meal plan. The food was very good...

"What an experience. Bill and Paula and their extended family were so kind, and really made us feel welcome in their family and their village of Yamata. The accommodations were clean, the food was excellent, and Bill was great with communication leading up to our visit. Snorkeling with sharks is not to be missed, and same with the low tide beach that is walkable (between Wayasewa and Wayalevu). "My friends and I booked this stay at the last minute because we wanted an adventure and to get a feel for the 'real' Fiji. This homestay did not disappoint. Our host Bill and his wife Paula were absolutely wonderful. Bill is an excellent communicator who is prompt, professional and honest. "There was limited power and lightning, flies all over the food, if you want to feel like your living in a cave with flies all over your food you should go here, if not you should stay away, was not 3 - 5 coarse meals as advertised, really need some complimentary sports equipment to use while there, **do not vist***"

"Nice place, not so beautiful as other islands, but still awesome. Food was really good and staff was perfect. Shared facilities were good and very clean. I'm almost 40 and in Barefoot the average age was much lower. Not a problem for me though."
