The artwork is not just high end indigenous art, but rather meaning and purpose. Every staff person greeted us warmly and personably. "We checked in late after serving from the ferry and the staff was there waiting for us! Such a nice treat, I must say! :) Rooms are comfortable and the shower is very good. Housekeeping is a little noisy for me, but if you're planning on leaving before 10 am, that wouldn't be an issue. I would recommend this place to all my friends."

"Unfortunately someone had smoked in our room and it was likely the last room available as we arrived at 1am getting off the ferry so we were stuck with the smell even with window open at 14C. Other than that motel was nice with right to the door with vehicle."

"We had a beautiful room with a balcony facing the water. We were treated to a pod of dolphins and an orca viewing in the morning. Warm and friendly home base for exploring Alert Bay. Walkable from the ferry as we went on foot. Quiet on a Sunday but exactly what we were after. We missed the summer crowds and felt like we had the bay to ourselves. Highly recommend hanging your hat at the inn."
