"We stayed here 2 nights and I wish we had stayed longer. For starters, Aaron is the best host - he’s kind and offered insight and printed maps for us with highlights of where to go and when for Acadia. When I say friendly, it’s an understatement. And anything you need - they will do what they can to accommodate. The cabins are perfect, comfortable beds and conveniently located. I can’t say enough good things. Will absolutely stay again when we’re back in the area"

"Upon checking in, my partner started to have a bad reaction to all of the fresh exposed wood in the house. Neither of us were aware she had this sensitivity. It did not affect me at all. Amanda came to the rescue and was able to transfer us to another property right on the ocean in the heart of Bar Harbor, essentially saving our vacation. I will just say that the new property was so nice, it was a step down when we finally returned home after the vacation. Amanda rocks!!!"

"We enjoyed our week at this well appointed cabin with a beautiful lake view from the comfortable deck. The kitchen and living space made preparing meals and relaxing a pleasure. Convenient to Acadia National Park and other parts of Mt. Desert Island, this is a good spot for a rejuvenating vacation in nature, but close enough to all amenities and services, including an easy ride to Bar Harbor."

"This cozy cabin is exactly as pictured and described. While we no longer have young children, it would be wonderful place to stay if you did. Additionally, it feels isolated in the woods, and yet you are only 10-15 minutes from Bar Harbor, carriage trails, and all the other attractions! We loved, loved, loved this cabin, and we hope to return next year despite the 18 hour drive to get to it! "

"Our family has such a great time staying in this cottage. It was so clean, plenty of room for our family of 5, well stocked with wood for camp fire, etc. It is perfectly quiet, and you are on a short road, off a cup-de-sac - so I never felt isolated (which I don’t enjoy!). But don’t worry about noise from others - we never even heard/saw another car drive by. I would absolutely stay here again! "

"We had an absolutely beautiful week in the beach cottage. The setting is stellar, the cabin is adorable and we slept with the doors wide open, lulled to sleep by the gentle waves. We swam and fished off the dock, had cocktails at sunset and coffee in the Adirondack chairs as the sun came up. Just an idyllic week, we are already dreaming about coming back!"

"The stay was fine and the host a nice enough guy. However, just to lay out some facts: - The primary picture of the shed was taken before the units 1 and 2 were hung on the outside. The unit is half of that and you share a wall with another guest where you can hear everything they say or do. - The shed is about 50 yards from the primary house and about 50 feet from another structure that is an active construction site. - In order to turn on the AC, you have to stand on an old fold out wooden...

"This cottage was a pleasant change from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Although its small and cozy, it had what we needed for a short term stay. Barring a few check-in inconveniences, it was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the firepit that we spent time at after a long Acadia Park hiking adventure."

"This is our 5th time at The Nub, and it keeps getting better! Angela and her family keep the property in top shape, including making significant improvements (we loved the new carpeting this year!). "We love Acadia and this was a unique and fun home to stay in. We hadn’t stayed on this side of the island and I am glad we did. It was a fun location to do some things we hadn’t done before and the house/kitchen was perfect for us as a stopping ground. I would suggest adding another railing up to the loft, where the netting decoration is. Our kids ended up finding places to sleep on the main level because we were a little worried about safety coming down the stairs at night. It was also hot so...
