"Liked the lake side setting with a beach area suitable for activities of watching the sun set. Had a good selection of watercraft available for guest use. The barbecue on the deck was a real plus giving a lot of flexibility in menu selection."

"Quaint 1970s style wooden building nicely decorated - they even had a turntable and albums (in addition to the bluetooth speaker). The upstairs loft overlooking the living room is just as pictured. The bed was comfy if the pillows could use an update; they were a bit too flat and lumpy for our liking but it's really our only complaint. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need. The BBQ works great, the hot tub was wonderful and the little propane firepit was lovely. We happily...

"Great lake! The boat house was clean and cozy, well equipped. The only thing is that it needs more lighting. The drive way slopes so stay on the gravel part as the car can get stuck if parked on the steep non gravel part especially if the ground is wet it can be muddy. The driveway that leads to the cottage, the bush needs to be cut back as the entrance is hidden. Bring bug spray. There is a nice dock to sit on and watch the sun set and great to dine outside. "Comfortable. Clean. Hot tub took some time to warm up it once it was warm it was perfect. Coffee, tea and other basics were available in the kitchen and the tv has Netflix and other options to sign in to. Very relaxing"

"This is a beautiful cottage, clean, spacious and has a good size property with many trees which allows for privacy. The waterfront is beautiful, walk in shoreline and a dock. I would definitely stay here again. The host accommodated me and made sure everything was scent free which is very nice because many rentals say it will be scent free but isn’t. "

"We just spent a relaxing week at Sandwood Cottage on 3 mile lake. The cottage was lovely- newly renovated and well equipped for a relaxing stay. That was our goal. The area was picturesque and located very close to Port Carling, Huntsville and Bracebridge. We will definitely be back -especially since we found Taylor Farm Market for my daily Americano!! "

"Our stay at Steve's cottage last week was nothing short of magical. The highlight, without a doubt, was the **absolutely spectacular sunset view over Penn Lake, right from the private dock. Winding down each evening watching the sky explode in color over the calm water was an unforgettable experience – a view truly rare to find and worth the trip alone!The lake itself felt alive and welcoming. We loved watching the big fish swimming right under the deck and were charmed daily by a sweet family...

"Our family really enjoyed our stay! The location was great, and the rental itself was clean, comfortable, and had a cozy, homey feel. The kids loved having space to run around in the fenced-in backyard, and we especially enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit in the evening.Communication with the host was excellent— They were very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. "Perfect getaway for families safe and quiet we stayed in cottage number 10 which is perfect for kids to stay. "

The setting was peaceful and calm, the lake was beautiful and the kids caught lots of fish right off the dock! The host was very friendly and responsive. "Lovely, clean property directly across from the Muskoka river Nice dock/sitting area to enjoy some reading and relaxing. Ample amenities, just remember (as Leslie reminded me) to bring your own bedding/towels. Firewood is provided as well, but check the weather beforehand, as there were some damp days before I arrived so if you aren't solid at starting fires, bring your own (and some softwood)) There are also neighbors on either side who kept to themselves, as did I so ZERO issues with that....
