"The hotel is in need of refurbishment and doesn't warrant a 4 star rating as there is nothing special about it. The breakfast was ok, but again there was nothing special about it. There was one choice of cheese and it was the processed 'plastic' type which is not what we expected in Italy. The breads tasted of nothing and the toaster doesn't work unless you want melba toast after a 5 minute wait as the bread was so thin. Plenty of choice of croissants, cake and salad if that's what you like for...
"This was definitely not a 5 Star Hotel. The hotel is old and the room had a
strong musty smell. We brought this to the attention of the hotel staff who said
they would look into it. They managed to clean the room with a strong cleaning
solutions which helped with the smell, but by the end of the day the strong
musty smell was back. Definitely not a pleasant stay for the cost of the room."
"Villa Tara is an exceptional accommodation; a historic building with character and unique charm. Very beautiful surroundings in the middle of nature. Very quiet location, yet well developed. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. The perfect place to relax and get to know Succhivo, Sant Angelo, Panza and Forio. Warm and courteous hostess, the whole team very committed and friendly. Sinful sweets for breakfast….thank you all for a perfect stay, Anna&David"
