"I didnt know what to expect when I booked it. Arrival was by bus from the airport to the harbour and boat to the island. The harbour is not easy to maneuvere, and not advisable for anyone with mobility issues. There are 16 cottages and they are small but lovely, mine [number 1] was right on the beach. The staff and boatmen are lovely and nothing is a problem to them, including arranging excursions for you. Food is good and pool area great. Thank you for a wonderful peaceful week."

"Wonderful place! Attentive staff, from welcome drinks to expenses brought to your chalet. Very calm climate. I'm not a fan of bats and they didn't bother you at all! They organized a beautiful dinner on the beach that culminated with an engagement request!"

"The resort was "decent". Booked entirely based on price. Resort needs some serious TLC. They should invest in the property and it would be nice. Remove window aircon and install split system. Install small refrigerators in the rooms. Our aircon barely dropped the temperature even when i left it running 24 hours Restaurant was not good. Thank God for McDonald's down the street Based on the lack of attention to the property by the foreign owners, we would not recommend. It seems they are...

"Stayed three nights. Wifi never even once worked during our stay. The staff was polite but nothing really worked like it should and even ordering a couple of beers was sometimes too much to get right the first time. Luckily there is a great restaurant adjacent, Ann & Mike that has great food and excellent staff. Anyone staying at pierhouse I would recommend outsourcing all your dining and drinking needs to Ann & Mike, even the prices were considerable lower there."
