You’ll find peace and relaxation in our vacation apartment, which was completely renovated in 2022 and lovingly furnished, with approximately 50 square meters of living space. The apartment features a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, entryway, and a balcony or sunroom with a breathtaking panoramic view of the city, the Felsenkirche, Oberstein Castle, and the Bosselstein Castle ruins.

The well-equipped kitchen offers plenty of space, with a dining table that seats up to four people—which can also be used as a work surface—an induction cooktop, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. The convenient microwave features a grill and convection settings (for pizza and rolls) and replaces the need for a bulky oven. You’ll also find all the small appliances you need here: a filter coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, immersion blender, hand mixer, etc. You can expect tasteful, high-quality furnishings, elegant tableware and silverware, and a cozy atmosphere.
The bedroom is furnished with a 180 x 200 cm box-spring bed and high-quality mattresses, as well as a wardrobe and an armchair. There is a variety of pillows available, so there should be something for everyone. Bed linens and blankets are provided in ample quantities. All windows are equipped with built-in roller shutters that ensure a restful night’s sleep.

The inviting living room, furnished with high-quality brand-name furniture, features a sleeper sofa with a sleeping surface of up to 140 cm, offering another guest a comfortable place to sleep. In addition, there are books, games, DVDs, and HD satellite TV.

Located halfway up the hill to the picturesque Oberstein Castle, yet still central, the town center—with its many dining options—can be reached in no time by descending the stairs through the romantic old town. In the city center, you’ll find doctors, pharmacies, and several discount stores.
Idar-Oberstein, the city of jewelry and gemstones, offers a wide range of recreational activities. Here you’ll find the German Gemstone Museum, the Bengel Industrial Museum, the historic Weiherschleife, and the gemstone mines. The “Schlossblick” vacation rental is centrally located on the sunny Oberstein Schlossberg, a picturesque residential area overlooking the city, right on the edge of the forest. The nearby forest is perfect for hiking. Some of Rhineland-Palatinate’s best scenic loops start right at your doorstep. For day trips by car, consider tours to the Moselle, the Rhine, and the Nahe wine-growing region. Popular city trips include visits to Bernkastel, Trier, or Bad Kreuznach.
