"We were in need of a place to sleep for one night on a road trip with our dog, and I booked this Motel 6 thinking it would be bares bones, basic - but it was worse than I could have expected. Smelly, dark, ripped box spring, with a layer of hair along the baseboard, and the bathroom looked like something from a horror movie, with a door that didn't close either. It's a very old building that hasn't been updated much and shows. We wouldn't have felt safe or comfortable staying. On the flip side,...

"Rooms were very dirty. The first room had such a strong pet odor (like a cat litterbox or dog kennel). The staff was helpful in finding an alternate room, but the alternate was not very clean either. The bathroom faucet would not drain, there were used soaps bars in bathroom, and there was hair in bed sheets. The bedding did not appear to be washed. I endured the night but woke up with allergies, presumably from pet hair. I won’t try Motel 6 again anytime soon."
