The Estate is listed in various works in the 17th century, such as "The Loyal Indicator or Travelers Guide" by Sieurs Michel et Devos (1785). It consisted of cultivated and irrigated land on about 50 hectares with surrounding farms, a large house and a French garden. The house belonged to Sieur Jean-Baptiste AUFFREN, Consul of the city of Hyères in the course of the 18th century. His name is probably behind the name of the property.

In the 19th century, the so-called AUFFRENE Estate belonged to Monsignor Sénés of Naples bishop, then to the Van Gaver family, a former silky Lyonnais close to the Bey of Tunis Sadok Bey. In 1882 Auffrene was broken up. Our family by the ancestor François REVEST aquit the country house and 3 hectares around. He changed its appearance to develop the cultivation of early vegetables as well as cut flowers, such as gladioli, iris and tulips, as well as violets.

With the arrival of water from the Provence canal, the operation became exclusively horticultural. The mild climate allowed the sustainability of cultures and saw 7 generations succeeding one another.
