Romantic Getaway
We loved the outdoor space and opportunities. Perfect setup for our dogs. Plenty of hiking from the property, our dogs loved it. The hot tub overlooking the creek was fantastic. Perfect for cooler evenings! We enjoyed our time there together.

everything was great! the amount of seclusion is even better than expected. warm and cozy indoors and the covered outdoor setup can’t be beat. even if it rains you could spend most of your stay outdoors and never have to leave the sound of the creek and the sight of the mountains. highly recommend and would definitely book again. thanks!

Perfect Anniversary Getaway
I cannot say enough good things about this property. We had a wonderful time in this well stocked, clean cabin. The host is very responsive to questions. We didn't even have to pay extra for the picturesque snowfall. 🙂 Looking forward to a summer visit!

Overall Wonderful Cabin in the Woods
A beautiful secluded cabin. No cell phone service and no wifi. Great place if you want to disconnect. The cabin is about 6 miles off of the main road which doesn't seem far but due to how twisty the road was it took about 20mins. Listing states that there is a subway that is an 8min walk from the cabin...this is very inaccurate. There are no restaurants under 15min DRIVE (let alone walk)...this isnt neccesarily a bad thing but would have been nice for it to be accurate. The road to get there is very narrow and at some points seemed 1 car wide. If you use an updated GPS it will take you right to it. We arrived during a snow storm and the road hadn't been plowed...so 4x4 is a must. We greatly enjoyed the hot tub and the selection of movies available. We wish there would have been a "welcome book" upon arrival so that we could have looked through it to see what all was in the area in terms of food, hiking, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the privacy this place provided.

Thank you for your kind comments. I wanted to make it clear that VRBO automatically adds the distance to all those listed places and with WV GPS that’s as accurate as they got. I can’t change that and I apologize. I personally did not add any of that info to my listing. Also… No where in my listing does it say WiFI or Cell service. Only a house phone at this time. So I apologize again you was disappointed. Thank you

Amazing place to go get unplugged

Beautiful Cabin to Unplug
Very loved and cared for by property owner. As soon as we walked in cabin, there was a very pleasant aroma and instantly felt relaxed and “at home”. Everything was very clean and prepared for our stay.. labels on everything and a lot of supplies, utensils, and appliances provided. Endless collection of DVDs. They also provided firewood which was nice for the fire pit and even has 2 propane fire tables on deck so plenty of places to stay warm! Even though we had 2 young kids, they never once got bored. We would love to come back to this cabin!! Thank you!

Perfect WV Gem
We chose this property based on previous reviews describing lack of phone service and tranquil beauty as well as the location’s proximity for our planned adventures. We could not have been more pleased. If you are looking for a place to disconnect from the hustle and devices of modern society and are seeking the time to reconnect with your partner and nature, then this is the place to stay. It was so quant, cozy and peaceful surrounded by the autumn leaves falling all around. There is a reason why so many of the previous guests have chosen to return and we plan to be amongst those for years to come :)

Weekend Quiet Getaway
The location is remote in the beautiful mountains! It was worth the drive to get there and see how wonderful the land and cabin was. The sound of the water running next to the deck was remarkable and louder than I expected. The hot tub was an extra perk to ease my muscles after visiting Cass Railroad and Seneca Caverns and Seneca Rocks . The grill was great for steaks. The kitchen was a bit cozy and tight. Not a problem just used to a bit more space. I do recommend to have a Stay here in Wild and Wonderful WV

Peaceful and Relaxing
Such a beautiful property. My husband and I really enjoyed our time there. We had the pleasure of meeting Shelley when we first got there. She was super nice and personable. The outdoor space was our favorite spot and our dogs had a blast. If you have a chance, visit Kumbrabow State Park. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Indescribable
This was the best place to getaway for a long weekend. The cabin was nice and cozy. The deck was wonderful- beautiful, relaxing, and so fun. But the nature around us was the best part. The location of this cabin was everything. We will be back and i cant wait!!!!

Cabin by the creek
Very peaceful location. Enjoyed sitting on the deck and hearing the running stream. Cabin was very clean and exactly as pictured. Is very far from the main road (9 miles) but that makes it even more beautiful. Great not having internet or tv!!!

Awesome stay. Sitting on the deck listening to the creek will put you to sleep. Only bad part no cell service or wifi but that could be a good thing if thats what you want. 😉

Inaccurate Listing
Where my fiancé and I did have a nice time, there are something’s that need to be fixed at this property. The cabin is very nice, hot tub was great, and beds were good. No Internet WHATSOEVER killed it and it’s dangerous, if you have an emergency or bad weather, your out of luck. No TV/Cable, just a whole bunch of older DVD Movies. Phone really didn’t work, once your in there at the cabin your off the grid big time. You can’t really cook inside because it just sits in the house, the outdoor stove doesn’t really work at all, kept cutting off. The big fireplace that looks beautiful out on the back deck, you can’t turn it on, there’s a note not to use it. The really nice looking grill, pretty much doesn’t work, all the inside of that grill needs to be fixed and or replaced. The only flames that come out of it is at the very very back, which isn’t helpful! I’m not sure where all this fishing was….and the rock climbing???? It could be kept up a lot better. 250 a night is too high for all the problems. I would give this place a 2.5, because 1 out of 5 it was half okay, if they got all these problems fixed I would definitely give this place a 4. Could be better.

When you booked your stay. The cabin is listed as No Wi-Fi, No cable and about that fireplace it also says it’s not to be used. You have two other fire places that are available and have had no complaints! I never received any complaints about the grill or stove during your stay or any of the ones after you. I’ve checked it all and works just fine! This cabin is meant to get away from the world and enjoy the outdoors surrounded by the national forest! That’s exactly what it is to many many quest except you. Thank you for your complaints but I shouldn’t be judged by amenities that was not to be in your stay! Thank you and I hope you enjoy your future stays elsewhere.

Weekend get-away
We enjoyed our weekend stay at this beautiful cabin! Cabin was as nice as advertised! We enjoyed the hot tub, watching the trout in the stream, the fire pit while watching a movie on the back porch. Plenty of privacy other than a vist from a deer and her litle fawn. We would definitely stay at the creek cabin again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our family of 4 had a blast at this awesome cabin. The place was perfect for our weekend getaway. The kids (2 and 6) loved splashing in the creek and making smores during the day and movies on the deck in the evening. The communication and cleanliness of the property is top notch. We've already booked our next trip there!

Great Private Getaway!
The property is very private and secluded. The stream is so close to the cabin and calm enough that the kids (2,4,6,8) had a blast playing in it. We spent a lot of time outside on the porch watching movies. The hot tub is an excellent feature. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Very nice cabin
Super nice outdoor seating area. We spent most of our time there. Great hot tub! Maybe adding a roof of some sort above it will be nice but we managed to use it in the rain anyway 😀It’s been raining mostly, we didn’t get to use fire pit. Cabin itself is not big. It was enough for two of us, but probably will be tight for four adults. Very nice decor. If you are addicted to internet and cell, this place is not for you. The closest cell service we got was 10 minutes away from the cabin. There is a good collection of movies there but you can bring your own. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the nature. Will definitely stay again

quiet getaway
Thank you for sharing your home. We enjoyed ourselves. The house was perfect for the two of us and our pup. Our favorite part was the fireplace inside and the hot tub on the deck. The weather was cold and it snowed several days but the house was set up perfect and cozy with everything we needed to stay warm. We enjoyed being disconnected from the hustle and bustle of todays world and the cell phone and tv. There were plenty of dvd's to watch. Only one wish was to have had a radio. Because there was no cell phone service and no tv to watch the news, it made it hard to know what the weather was going to be to plan our day. We managed by going into town where the cell phones worked to get weather updates when needed. Our Doberman (who loves to run) enjoyed his stay as much as we did. The woods and stream around the house were perfect for our daytime adventures and hikes. When we arrived at the house we also had a surprise , apparently it had snowed days earlier and someone had left us a really cool snow man on the deck near the hot tub. It was even more a surprise because at the time there was no snow on the ground. Highly recommend the house, it is perfect for a couples retreat!!!!

Cozy cabin perfect getaway!
We stayed in this cabin to getaway for my birthday and it was so peaceful and perfect! The host had the cabin warm and read for us when we arrived and all we had to do was enjoy. Highly recommend this to anyone! It snowed and was 28 degrees outside and had it been a bit warmer we would have used the outdoor space so much more! I love the outdoor space you can’t beat it! The creek runs right beside the deck and the sound was amazing!

Away from everything and that's a plus!
The cabin is very cozy and very well equipped. The two of us went the last week before Christmas and found that everything we had anticipated was there. Well equipped kitchen. All the supplies that we needed. (Fire wood, propane, pellet for the stove) We made an early Christmas dinner and there were plenty of pots and pans and cookie sheets. Speaking of Christmas, the cabin had been decorated for the holidays. Nice touch! There was no cell service or WiFi and that was wonderful. We spent a little time in the outside space but it was cold and our time out there was limited. But the outdoor space is smart and well laid out. I can see how it would be the place to be in warmer months. This cabin was just right for 2 people and I can see it working for 4 people as well. After that I would worry about the bathroom rotation. :) But that's on you to figure out. Great communication from the owners. All my questions were answered. No issues what so ever. Would I go back? Absolutely.

A Slice of Paradise!!
A beautiful cabin in the beautiful national Forest. This cabin is removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! As the owners lists, there is no cell phone service, and it is wonderful. The cabin was equipped with everything needed for a wonderful stay. The deck was the highlight of our stay. It was just what we needed to relax and recharge. If you are reading this post I suggest that you book it! Ideal property for four adults and possibly to children

Wonderful stream runs right beside the deck. Terrific outdoor fire features and hot tub. This place is where you want to be if you are constantly tied to electronics, you won't even think about them. The perfect place to unwind and recharge.

All about the outdoor's
I had a few question's before we went down. Shelley was friendly and quick to respond. The direction's they provide you are spot on. The road in is narrow and winding so take it slow. The local's have free roaming chicken's, duck's and goat's so keep an eye out for them. They are all so adorable! The cabin is small but has everything you will need. But really you do not rent a place like this to stay inside.. The deck is incredible and there is a lot of fun to be had exploring the creek. The hot tub is very relaxing, the fire feature's are nice and there is plenty of outdoor lighting. The creek and rock formation's are the perfect backdrop for this beautiful deck!

A Perfect Slice of Heaven
This place is amazing! We stayed during peak autumn and it was breath taking. We spent the majority of our time outdoors listening to the babbling creek and watching the leaves fall. The house was clean and exactly as stated in the listing. Check in was no problem and the owner was easy to reach. We will absolutely come back!!

A happy place
The cabin was a fine place to stay with the creek right beside it. The decking and hot tub were great places to relax. It rained a lot the day of and before our arrival and a lot of water was passing by-but I slept like a rock!! We loved everything about it but the dining set-too tall for our preferences, a normal 4-seat dining set would make it perfect!!
