"Clean modern cabin in an isolated setting yet close enough to Husavik and Myvatn lake. I have an interest in farming and tending animals in the unique setting of iceland. The owners went out of their way to answer all my questions about their sheep farm, the cost of energy, and more. Very welcoming and friendly people. "

"We were impressed from the moment we entered the property. It was clean, well stocked with amenities for our stay and extremely spacious for our family. For me personally the hot tub was the highlight of the stay and sitting outside in a warm tub under the wintery night sky was just magical. The only thing to note, and nothing to do with the property but there is a toll on the tunnel through the mountain on the fastest way to the close town of akureyri at 1800ISK per way."

"Highly recommended, very comfortable and beautiful place to stay. We were all very impressed with our stay here. Accommodation is appropriately allocated with a high level of privacy. There is a hot tub to soak in in front of the house. And there is a beautiful view around the house. We can sit and admire the view in all directions from inside the house."

"Dies war die dritte Unterkunft von sechs Übernachtungen, sind gerade bei der vierten, und bisher die Schönste. Svataborg beeindruckte mich mit seinen großen Fenstern und seinem weiten Blick in die Ferne, ebenso mit seiner stilvollen Einrichtung. Makellos perfekt wäre alles, wenn die Holzmöbel ein bisschen Auffrischung bekommen würden und die Fenster einen Schutz, damit die Fliegen nicht ins Haus kommen. Dies ist nämlich die absolute Todesfalle für die armen Geschöpfe denn ohne Hilfe finden sie...

"Really good location close to the main road. Room was very comfortable, shower was good too! View for the Mývatn lake was amazing! Good size of the room. Restaurant Myla was really good for dinner and good options for breakfast. Staff was nice and helpful. Definitely will stay here when return to Iceland. "
