Pros:• Great location near Hunter Mountain• Clean homeCons:There were several issues, and I’m not sure if they fall on the owner or the management company (Evolve). The biggest problem was the thermostat—we were not allowed to control it. Despite paying over 1,800 for a 900 sq. ft. rental, the house was colder than my home. This became worse when my son got the flu. The bedrooms appeared poorly insulated, and none of us slept well. As someone in the HVAC industry, a reasonable temperature increase would have cost under 10 in propane for the entire stay. The home is listed as a 3-bedroom that sleeps six, but the seating does not support that. The sofa was extremely small and uncomfortable. Watching bowl games during our ski trip meant two of us sitting on kitchen chairs, and we had to cancel having a friend over due to lack of seating. There is also no washer/dryer, which is inconvenient for a ski house. The excessive number of signs throughout the home made it feel unwelcoming.Communication was poor—we did not receive check-in instructions until about an hour before arrival, despite reaching out multiple times.Overall, while the location and cleanliness were good, the lack of comfort, amenities, and communication made this stay disappointing for the price.
