"Had a whole holiday cottage to myself for the price of a hotel room. Really generous and varied breakfast provisions, with spacious kitchen and dining area to enjoy it in. With a washing machine and airer in the property, I was able to get a load of washing done overnight, as the cottage was really warm. The only negative was the WiFi, which I found very poor, and phone signal is limited too."

The location was perfect, right by The Roaches, great for walks from the door step and close by to other amazing locations in the Peak District. "Lovely cottage. The wood burning stove was much appreciated by all including our black Labrador! The central heating was very efficient once we’d found the boiler controls (in one of the twin rooms) Host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed but wasn’t at all intrusive. Beds very comfortable ! Can recommend the Scotsman’s Pack inn who (with some advance notice) catered for 42 of us for the Birthday meal !"

"The cottage is cosy, comfortable and easy to live in. The location is beautiful and secluded with a lovely little village only a few minutes drive away. "Beautiful cottage which has been tastefully restored and is spotless. It is right beside the footpaths into the Chatsworth Estate so there are beautiful walks from the doorstep. Baslow is a thriving village with plenty of places to eat. There is a lovely outdoor space but because of the layout of the other cottages it is very overlooked. Worth knowing but still a 5 star cottage."

"We had a great experience while staying here. We had booked the two cottages for my mum's surprise birthday and I have a large family. This was a great place to do this as there was a pool which entertained us all and enough space that you weren't in each other's space. It had beautiful views and a hiking tail right on the doorstep for anyone interested in a lovely walk. It wasn't far to get to local shops/bars/pubs. I would stay here again"
