Nice little getaway

Great Stay

Cozy place that's clean. Property manager was accommodating and easy to communicate with. Quiet neighborhood not far from local restaurants and marina. I would stay there again.

Christmas Getaway

My sister and I stayed at Michele's cute little house while visiting our brother for Christmas. Michele was super friendly and helpful, and we all had a great time. Thank you very much, Michele!

Quiet Getaway

We had a wonderful vacation. Nice house in a quiet neighborhood, on a canal, near the Hudson Port Marina. Get Hooked restaurant and bar provides convenient dinner option as well as live music, which can be heard from the screened in back porch of the house as well but wasn't a bother because they only have live music a couple of nights during the week. Nearby beaches require a drive but are worth the trip and boat rental at Sea Breeze rentals was fairly priced and offered great customer service. Nice area for walking (your dogs) or riding your bike, apply some mosquito repellant! Sunsets are nice, but would be better with a view of the gulf (upper deck needed). House is old but quaint, AC rocks and has all you need for a terrific Getaway. The Host, Michele, is accommodating and replies to inquiries quickly.

House on the gulf

I enjoy my stay and the host very nice and responsive to our needs. More baking and kitchen stuff needed so we had to run out and buy a few things cookie sheets, big frying pan, and my friend brought cookware from home. Also, the chairs in porch area need to be replaced falling apart, otherwise great stay!

Thank you,Iā€™m so glad you enjoyed your stay. Chairs have been replaced immediately and the kitchen is fully stocked, the cookie sheets etc are in lower cabinet. šŸ˜Š

Very cute house and we enjoyed sitting in the screened veranda to watch wildlife on the channel. We saw dolphins, fish, and a great variety of birdlife. Good spot for a base to tour around by car, but not much to walk to. One restaurant in walking distance and its fine for casual drinks and snacks.

Great place right on the canal

This property was exactly as described. Cute older home sitting directly on a canal leading to the Gulf. We enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch just watching the wildlife. We thought the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything was nice and clean. Communication with the homeowner was fantastic. Would definitely go back. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home.

I saw a dolphin. 10/10 would stay again.

This place was great! Very clean with good internet and Netflix on the tv. There is a lot of stuff to do and see just from the backyard. I did some fishing, kayaking, and even saw a dolphin swim by on my last night. Iā€™ll definitely stay here again next time I visit. Michele was also great and very quick to respond to any questions I had.

Waterside retreat that gets the job done

My wife and I brought our 25lb dog with us for a waterside weekend retreat and had a nice time at this property. We would consider returning in the future. PROS: Calm canal water access with two kayaks provided; property manager was very responsive; *mostly* secure fenced backyard (some parts near the driveway had gaps that a dog could easily escape out of); within walking distance of the marina and bar/restaurant. CONS (all relatively minor): sliding door and one of the bedroom doors did not properly close or lock, but property manager indicated it would be fixed; minimal cookware available; property's towels were *heavily* scented by detergent; music from nearby bar/restaurant was relatively loud (on a Saturday night, but quiet otherwise)

Glad to hear you had a great time. The kitchen is fully stocked with many extras for all cooking needs, i wish you asked me and i could have directed you to which item in specific you were looking for.the towels being scented by detergent is a good sign šŸ˜€. In listing it describes thereā€™s live music from get hooked restaurant just on weekends til 10 pm. All Guests love and book my place for the music and enjoy fishing, kayaking, boating, etc while listening to the free entertainment. And yes doors were fixed. Thank you

Sweet Little Place.

Such a lovely time. Spent all night on the screened in back porch. The place was very clean. Had one small hiccup but Michele the owner was very attentive and quick to address the issue. The house is VERY homey, cheery, bright. We had a wonderful time staying here. Highly recommend.

The house is very nice and convenient to stores, places to eat, although the kitchen makes it so nice to prepare home cooked meals. Quiet & freindly neighborhood. We plan to return again. The host is very nice & hospitable.

Peaceful Hudson on the Bay ~ Perfect

What a great choice I made in picking this honey of a cottage!! Very quiet neighborhood yet everything you need is within a few miles.I travel alone but there's plenty of room with 2 bedrooms and will sleep up to 6 comfortably.Big screened in porch to watch the birds come in and out every morning and afternoon. You can't beat the local fare all within a couple miles, I can't wait to head back down again. The home owner went way above and beyond for me as well when I had to unexpectedly extend my stay with her. Thank you so much again I'll see you next time I'm in the area!
