.Cedar Key Village is part of a larger community called Cedar Key Estates. Most of the Cedar Key Estates are full time residents. Realtors have a waiting list of people who want to purchase in Cedar Key because we live on the largest no wake cove on the lake. It is over 60 acres. The mile long drive to to reach Cedar Key village is heavily treed, which offers a spectacular entrance into our resort, especially in the fall.. There are ten smaller cabins and my larger home that make up Cedar Key Village.

Welcome to Cedar Key Village at Smith Mountain Lake, a charming 11 home community. This spectacular all Cedar Home is located on beautiful Smith Mountain Lake and is one of eleven homes nestled in a secluded no wake cove. My cabin is lakefront.
My charming cabin hums with relaxed energy which you will feel the moment you enter. Features a great room with cathedral ceilings and an electric fireplace. Our one level home’s main living area is totally open so if you are in the kitchen, you are not isolated from the other guests. Cedar beams throughout the house adds a unique charm to this beautifully decorated and inviting home.
I offer two bedrooms and two full baths. Renovated bath others with walk in tiled shower. Living room has a sliding glass door to the deck, which offers a fantastic lakefront view of the lake and Smith Mountain… what a way to wake up each morning.
We have one of the easiest access to the lake for those who have walking issues as you can drive directly to the waterfront, just a 30 second drive. Also you can walk the road or take the 75 steps down to the waterfront. The walk down the steps to the waterfront is surrounded by beautiful gardens on both sides, please see the pictures.
The house is appointed with every pot and pan, dish and glassware imaginable. Many of our guests have told us it is far better equipped than their own homes. We also provide an array of spices.
Our no wake 60 acres cove is famous for its abundance and variety of fish. It is where the strippers spawn every year and fisherman catch bass, muskies and cat fish right off our docks. You will see an exciting array of wildlife including eagles, owls, ospreys, hummingbirds, wild turkey and of course deer but we also have several albino deer which are spectacular to see if you are lucky.
Because the cove is “no wake” you can swim, kayak, paddle board and canoe without being disturbed by jet skies and motor boats, a rarity on the lake. We are only a 500' to the entrance to the main channel so you have go far before you can produce a wake. The cove is surrounded by a 2000 acre wildlife mountainous nature preserve so your views are of deep woods, silhouetted by Smith Mountain and its surrounding mountains. Smith Mountain Lake has 22,000 acres of clean water and has 500 miles of shoreline.
There is a mile long drive to reach our Lodge that is just magical. It is deeply wooded with an abundance of hardwoods on both sides, not a home in sight. Once you have made this turn on our lane, you will be delighted with the serine, natural beauty that surrounds our home.

The Mariners Landing golf course is just ten minutes away and in the same community as the Point Restaurant which is renown on the lake as one of the top lakefront restaurants. They also have lots of fun entertainment over the summer and fall months so make sure you look them up.
Rent all types of boats at nearby marinas and enjoy parasailing, water skiing, sailing, water-skiing, jet skiing, and for those with a large crowd you will love the huge pontoon boats.
We offer on site 4 kayaks, one two person canoe an, one three person kayak with the middle seat perfect for a dog or small child and two paddle boards. Our no-wake cove is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and swimming. No worries of being run over by the jet skis or speed boats.
Our mile long drive into the property is perfect for long walks or biking. You will listen to only the sounds of nature as a beautiful hardwood forest hugs both sides of the road. Deer and turkey abound! Also if you like mountain biking, you are only a few minutes away.
There are lots of funs restaurants close by and the state park is just ten minutes away. The park offers summer fun programs for children at their camp pavilion. They also have a mile long lakefront walking trail, a sandy beach, boat rentals, covered pavilions with charcoal barbecue grill and lots of nightlife entertainment.
You can take a ride on the Virginia Dare to see the lake and enjoy dining for lunch or dinner. Next to the Virginia Dare is the Tiki Bar, a true fun spot for Jimmy Buffet fans.
On the side of the lake (about twenty minutes away) there are lots of fun clothing shops, miniature golf, arcade, art shop, ice cream parlor, cinema and great restaurants.
The area is rich in history; you will want to make sure you see the Booker T. Washington plantation, the D day Memorial in Bedford and take a tour of how the dam was constructed. And Roanoke is only 40 minutes away and has all kinds of fun nightlife at market square. It is considered one of the best towns in the state for Bluegrass music. A drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway is a must; the mountains are soft and lovely, and serenely beautiful.We know you will love our home and our charming resort community.
