"We spent the weekend at Mammoth Caves (about 25-30 mins away) and this was the perfect spot for us to spend our nights. The host made check-in and check-out a breeze and everything we needed to be comfortable was there.One thing differs from the pictures is they have now installed a full sized stove/oven to replace the hotplate and toaster oven. "We have stayed at this property twice for our traditional 10 yo trip with grandchildren. This time we took our two 10 yo grandsons. "We thought the cottage was quiet and secluded. Everything was easily accessible and the porch was perfect for a morning cup of coffee. The firepit was far enough from the house to not make everything smell Smokey. Wildlife was beautiful to include a skink (lizard), deer, cat and a screech owl at night. The Lakeside Cafe at the end of the road was absolutely delicious! Pizzas were amazing and cinnamon rolls and breakfast casseroles were scrumptious before heading out to the caves. "

"Nice property in beautiful area. Well kept, furnished and clean except for some cobwebs here and there up high. Loved the view and furnishings on the balcony. The listing says "5 min walk to SEE the lake", but be prepared that you can't actually get to the lake, you can just see it from behind someone else's property.We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others."
