"The B and b was gorgeous, such a lovely old building and the owners were so friendly and welcoming. My partner and I both loved the character of the building. The tearoom was a bonus and we both said that that was the best cream tea we had ever had. Sitting outside in the garden was just heavenly. The location was great too and with a frequent bus service into Sidmouth and Exeter it was just perfect. We have both said that we will definitely stay there again."

"We had a wonderful stay. The facilitys at the west bay hotel are great the room included a coffee machaine , kettle , clean towels and dressing gowns. The shower was powerful and big. "A perfect overnight stay at a beautiful historic property. Our large room was very comfortable, including the softest sheets. Lounge with open fire to relax in. Breakfast was excellent with homemade granola and local produce perfectly cooked. The drive from the main road was longer and windier than we expected and if we are able to make a return visit we will try and arrive in daylight. Also a short walk from the car park to the front drive for anyone with mobility problems. "

"We had a 2 night stay. Craig was chatty, but failed to point out a few things at breakfast on the first morning which proved a little irritating. The pool is only available for guests on certain hours, for example 6-10pm only. Also, rooms are not serviced unless you actually ask for them to be. This information was on the noticeboard but this was not pointed out, so we didn't see it. Otherwise, a nice stay, a good breakfast. Oh, and very light coloured curtains so expect to be woken early."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few things that took the edge off a perfect break. The shower in the en-suite bedroom leaked through the kitchen ceiling so we couldn’t use it which meant that nine of us had to use the one other shower! The French door/window in the lounge was difficult to open & close and the rain came in at the bottom right side and the carpet got wet and we couldn’t open the bi fold doors in the dining area. The cutlery wasn’t very clean so we had to wash it all...
