The nearby market town of Holywell is home to the famous St. Winefride’s Well, one of the Seven Wonders of Wales, and the remains of the 12th century Basingwerk Abbey. Within reach are also four golf courses, including Pennant Park, which has a wonderful clubhouse and far-reaching views over the River Dee and the sea. The Pennant Walk, Offa’s Dyke Pathway and The Clwydian Range are some of the walking routes available in the area, and the historic city of Chester, with its famous Rows, city walls and good shopping, is within driving distance. Also within reach are the towns of Ruthin and Betws-y-Coed, and the stunning Snowdonia National Park. When it’s time to head out, there’s plenty to explore both on your doorstep and a little further afield. The owners have plenty of recommendations for days out and markets to visit, just ask.
