"A wonderful place to stay for a family holiday in the Lakes. Not easy to drive to so good for people who want to do lots of walks and exploring in the area. There is a beautiful waterfall only about 15 mins walk from the house. We also went swimming in Brotherswater. The view from the house was amazing and the house itself was very well equipped with plenty of games and books available. "

"Big house with great sized rooms and plenty space for our 15 adults and 5 children. Hot tub was great. Living space/bar area very roomy and open. The owners were very flexible with the Sunday checkout times which was nice of them. The kitchen is a professional kitchen (for the weekday BnB purpose I guess) so not quite the social space that you're used to in a more traditional house. "This was a fabulous cottage for a family. Great location with some short walks with lovely views of perfect length for two kids age 5 and 6 (Rydal caves and Grasmere being our favourite). Great access to the lake for various boat based activities and an easy walk into Ambleside for some interesting shops (the Rock shop and toy shop were particularly interesting). Cottage itself was clean and cosy and had truly stunning views. Rooms over 3 floors so the kids expended some energy going up 2...

"The property was lovely, and clean. A great location with good amenities. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor which was a bit tricky for us staying with young kids and not mentioned in the information, and the on street parking availability on the street mentioned nearby was really limited, but we travelled on a very busy school holiday weekend.
