"NEEDS IMPROVING. The location was fantastic, however there are several things that need work and whoever cleans the flat would know this. The freezer section of the refrigerator is one solid block of ice, pushing open the freezer door. It's so bad that a person needs to make sure the fridge door is closed. "What a great evening, staff, the ambience, and the site's adorable stay. Everything was neat, clean, and well-maintained. In addition to everything, the woman on call was incredibly kind and helpful. Definitely need a second visit."

"The appartment was not clean, an heavy smell of sewer. Many places in the apartment was really dirty: bathroom curtain, oven and fridge was destroyed. There were dirty bed sheet in a wardrobe entrance. The wifi password was not given to us and after our arrival we had no answer at all from the property. Hopefully we have booked only one night. I do not recommend this place."

"We have just returned from a couple of nights at Brewers Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and bigger than it seems from the photos. Foolow is convenient access to some lovely areas and walks in the Peak District, and just a 10-15 minute walk from the cottage is the local pub that does fabulous food and has very friendly staff. "The room is well renovated and everything works, mainly the shower. The breakfast is excelent, but expensive. There are some work in progress on the square in front of the reception, with the street interrupted, so the taxis and ubers sometimes don’t come to the right place. But it is a good location anyway to walk to the nice city centre of the (former) “steel city”, already converted to pedestrian streets. There was a fire alarm once in an ungodly hour, with everybody using the stairs to go out. It was not clear if someone in a given room made some smoke or if it was a failure on the programmed weekly fire exercise."
