An Underwhelming Experience for the City’s Most Expensive Hotel
I expected a premium experience given the price, but the reality was disappointing on several fronts.
Room & Interior Design
Upon entering, the room felt empty. The furniture setup was minimal—just a small sofa and chair—and the overall interior design was modest at best. Instead of investing in comfort and aesthetics, the hotel seemed focused on unnecessary automation. For example, the curtains could only be opened via a digital pad, which was frustrating and unintuitive. It’s baffling that they prioritized gimmicky tech over quality furnishings and thoughtful design.
Breakfast Buffet
The lounge offered a spectacular view from a high floor, but that was the only highlight. The breakfast buffet was as minimalistic as the room décor: limited choices and plain-tasting food. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected far more variety and quality.
Service & Policies
The staff seemed to misunderstand the essence of hospitality. During our stay, we received two warning letters. One was for bringing fruit into the room—a restriction that felt unnecessarily strict. The other was for manually rolling the curtain aside when we couldn’t figure out the digital controls. Instead of offering assistance, they issued a warning. This approach felt punitive rather than guest-friendly.
Overall Impression
For the price, this hotel falls short in comfort, dining, and service. There are better options in the city at a more
