"First of all the location is excellent… right in the middle of the rainforest, although the drive up there is not for the faint hearted. My room was very basic, which was expected. The thing I didn’t like was that the door to the deck didn’t seal at all, so when the wind blew at night it rattled the blinds and kept me awake. "The room looked clean when we first arrived, but then we noticed all the crumbs on the bedside table from the previous guests. Bed was very comfortable and having a bar with a restaurant downstairs was great. The location was very convenient and there was a few other shops around. We turned on the bathroom light/fan and a putrid smell came up from the drain. We showered in the dark from then on. There is no reception here, so you need to see the bar staff to check in. "Jess is an amazing host, nothing is too much trouble. Mentioned I was coming for my birthday, there were balloons and a lovely welcome message, and when ordered pizza (which is so good), there was a candle. The view from the Red Suite is incredible. It is so quiet and peaceful. The suite has everything you need, real milk in the fridge, cookies and a variety of teas. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. You must try the smoothies!
