After booking with Expedia we were handed off to VTrip. VTrip contacted us after booking a room. We were told the HVAC unit wasn't working and to select a different room from the (2) they sent us. We selected a from the picture and we were also told the room was an upgrade. Once my wife and I walked in the room we were met with an overwhelming smell of mold. The ceiling was stained, the wallpaper was pealing off the walls, the floor was disgusting, and the pillows were stained brown. We contacted VTriip and was told someone will be responding to see the room. My wife and I waited outside on the deck (of course) for about and hour. After an hour we contacted VTrip again and asked when the person will be at our location. The male on the phone stated "know one is coming and that he don't even see any complaints in the notes". My wife and I argued for another hour with VTrip and of course got no ware. At this point my wife and I grabbed our bags and left. We were forced to go to another hotel that costed us an additional $150.00. The next day I contacted the manager because there wasn't one around during the above incident. (7pm and we left approx. 9pm). She told me she would refund my money however, Expedia will subtract fees and taxes and forward the rest to us. Who ever reads this be careful booking with Expedia they will hand you over to a different company without you knowing until you book. Expedia will then take some of your money for doing nothing.
