"The house was beautiful and the views were outstanding - including the stars at night! We went on several “adventures” to see places nearby (Royal Gorge, Mission: Wolf, Bishop’s Castle and rafting) but just sitting on the porch enjoying the view and the quietness was amazingly refreshing. The birdsongs and occasional cow’s moo just added to the joy we found at The View House. "

"Everything went great, a beautiful picturesque place, just keep in mind that the nearest Walmart is 45 minutes away :) And the access road is a bit long, unpaved, but you can't find a better place for privacy, the house has all the amenities and the internet works well."

" Very Private and relaxing. Stargazing was the best couldn’t believe how many stars you saw with no light pollution.. Chipmunks Squirels ohh my lol and saw an Elk and a baby walk right by on other side of fence The house was clean and well decorated. It is an older house so don’t expect glamour but everything you will need for a relaxing trip. "

"Our stay at the River Rock Retreat was amazing. A nice house with all the amenities and access to the River from the back yard. "Mediocre. The room is too warm and stuffy, air conditioner doesnt work well at all. Bedding, sheets, towels etc were clean. Bed was comfortable though. Hard to see parking lot entrance is hard to see in the dark."

"Great views. Peaceful. Spacious home. Great fire pit. Hiking trails all around the area. Highly recommend Royal Gorge Rafting (Royal Gorge trip and ask for Allen) & Extreme Zip Line Combo -- an awesome day. Bear Basin Outfitters (horse ride) was very transactional - there may be better options in the area. Royal Gorge Park was worth the trip. "
