Talley's Cabins' and Breakfast is a privately owned getaway nestled in the hills of Northeast Tennessee (Upper Cumberland Plateau). Comfortable, clean, and quaint. We are located in Hilham, TN in Clay County. This cabin is located on 47 acres that includes trails for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. There are multiple creeks and waterfalls on the property.

Some nearby attractions include Dale Hollow Lake, Mitchell Creek Marina, Standing Stone State Park, Cummins Falls State Park and we are only 20 minutes away from three quaint county seats: Celina, Gainesboro and Livingston. The larger town of Cookeville is 45 minutes away.


This Cabin includes:

- WiFi (500mg download)

- Fire pit for those sā€™mores and hotdogs (split dry firewood self-serv at woodshed)
- Beautiful views and large front and back porches with swings
- 47 acres of trails for exploring and hiking
- Multiple creeks and cascading waterfalls
- Fully stocked kitchen complete with microwave and coffee pot
- Tank-less water heater (It always aggravated me in places Iā€™ve stayed and would run out of hot water! Not at TC&B!)

- Grill and outside table and chairs
- Games (eg., Monopoly, cards)

We are in small, peaceful and secluded county. There are no interstates or major airports in our area. The Dale Hollow Lake area is truly a hidden secret and gem. Local TN folks knows just how beautiful the rolling hills and lake is. We are about 20 mins from the marina.

1.Please review our Guest Cabin Book from our website ( under General information. It contains all types of useful information about the cabin and area.

2.If you are GPSā€™ing your directions to us: Use 764 Hickory Lane, Hilham Tn.

3.It is always easier getting here in the daylight. These country roads are kinda dark at night

4.Please note there are no close-by grocery stores, so you may want to bring groceryā€™s with you, instead of getting here and then heading back out to a store (about 20 mins).

5.Cell service is extremely limited on the drive in; AT&T is non-existent, although a bar or two once at the cabin. Other providers are spotty.

Our area does not house the standard local chains/commerce. This is no hustle or bustle here :) Our local commerce are Mom&Pop shops offering the essentials and a heaping of country charm and hospitality.

As you drive down the gravel road of Hickory Lane, look for a large 6' tin rooster on your right by a large painted rock with our logo and sign on it. Turn Right onto gravel driveway and drive straight going through the red cattle gates. Drive straight down the driveway staying to your Right. At the bottom of the driveway keep going straight behind the main two story building. Cabin #3 is down on the right.

Anniversary get away

Very cute, comfortable, secluded cabin! Great communication with the host! Loved the basket of snacks provided. Didn't get to enjoy the hammock due to the weather, but we will definitely book with them again....had a great anniversary weekend!

Hidden GEM!!!!

This place is top notch!! Solid 10/10!!! From the property its self being incredibly peaceful to the amazing hot tub. They also make sure the extras are added as well!! Coffee bar, soaps, shampoos, toothbrush, toothpaste, farm fresh eggs, I cant say enough about this place!!! We just left today and are already looking the calendar to see when we will book out next weekend!!!! Thank you for the wonderful hide away from life for a bit!!!! We will be seeing you all again shortly!!!

First Class!

These cabins are nestled in a very private wooded area.We didnā€™t see a single person all weekend which we really enjoyed. Everything was super clean and check in was easy.Definitely a five star experience.

Serenity in the Mountains

This is a beautiful property. The cabin was clean, spacious and cutely decorated. The hot tub was VERY comfortable. I would book this cabin again and for a longer stay just to enjoy the peace and quiet. Too many sweet details to our stay to list them all. Important to read all info prior as owner is very honest that you are not near anything. Would encourage an overall property map to be included in the cabin info book.

Weekend Away!

The perfect cabin for a weekend getaway with my husband! The location was perfectly secluded and the only sounds we could hear was the wildlife! The outdoor spaces were perfect! The porch was cool during the hot summer day thanks to the shade from the trees. The hammock and fire pit made for a fun night and the hot tub was freshly cleaned! The indoors were perfect as well! Super clean and had very comfortable! The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and myself. THE SHOWER WAS HUGE!! The items provided for breakfast were very tasty! 100/10 recommend this cabin and staying with the Talleyā€™s!

Perfect retreat choice

I needed an escape from the city and this was the perfect place to do that. Some time in the hot tub, cooking the provided breakfast items, and going to hike Cummins Falls weā€™re the perfect cure. It was initially hard to find the cabin because my arrival was at dark but we called Mrs. Dana who stepped out of church to help us. Sorry Mrs. Dana! Couldnā€™t have asked for a better spot or better hosts

Great getaway

Really nice cabin in the middle of nowhere, it was very peaceful with beautiful views from the porch. The hot tub and firepit were perfect for night time. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a few days of relaxation and it met and exceeded our expectations. Will definitely look into staying again.

Beautiful retreat

We celebrated our 30th anniversary at cabin 3 and couldn't have picked a more wonderful setting. The cabin was clean, decorated beautifully and gave us the needed peace for a special getaway. The added touches, like fresh eggs and blueberry puff for breakfast, personal care items and communication put the owners over the top of going the extra mile. We loved the back deck for coffee and dinner, the hot tub at night, and the hammock/firepit. 3 nights wasn't long enough. We hope to come back!

My wife and I take an anniversary trip every year and try to find a new place to explore. We always rent cabins because we like the rustic vibe. We booked Cabin #3 because we liked the fire pit setup, but we got so much more. The layout and privacy of this cabin was top notch. We would definitely stay here again, or another cabin on the property.

Best Anniversary Ever!

This cabin was absolutely stellar! Not only was every need catered to, but they also had things we did not know we needed! For example, having the dryer was helpful when the rain prevented us from line drying swimsuits. We had some fresh eggs that made the morning the best part of the day. I loved using the kitchen to cook meals each day. The owners were extremely timely in communication, and Ms. Kitty was just about the sweetest cat I've ever seen! We would love to come back again.

Property is beautiful. Cabins are clean and well appointed. Cabins feel real homey. We stayed in cabin 3 which was very secluded at end of drive. Plenty of hiking trails on property. Already made reservations for October. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this property.
