Talley's Cabins' and Breakfast is a privately owned getaway nestled in the hills of Northeast Tennessee (Upper Cumberland Plateau). Comfortable, clean, and quaint. We are located in Hilham, TN in Clay County. This cabin is located on 47 acres that includes trails for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. There are multiple creeks and waterfalls on the property.

Some nearby attractions include Dale Hollow Lake, Mitchell Creek Marina, Standing Stone State Park, Cummins Falls State Park and we are only 20 minutes away from three quaint county seats: Celina, Gainesboro and Livingston. The larger town of Cookeville is 45 minutes away.


This Cabin includes:

- Fire pit for those sā€™mores and hotdogs
- Beautiful views and large front and back porches with swings
- 47 acres of trails for exploring and hiking
- Multiple creeks and cascading waterfalls

- Tank-less water heater (It always aggravated me in places Iā€™ve stayed and would run out of hot water! Not at TC&B!)

We are in small, peaceful and secluded county. There are no interstates or major airports in our area. The Dale Hollow Lake area is truly a hidden secret and gem. Local TN folks knows just how beautiful the rolling hills and lake is. We are about 20 mins from the marina.

2.If you are GPSā€™ing your directions to us: Use 764 Hickory Lane, Hilham Tn.

3.It is always easier getting here in the daylight. These country roads are kinda dark at night

4.Please note there are no close-by grocery stores, so you may want to bring groceryā€™s with you, instead of getting here and then heading back out to a store (about 20 mins).

5.Cell service is extremely limited on the drive in; AT&T is non-existent, although a bar or two once at the cabin. Other providers are spotty.

Our area does not house the standard local chains/commerce. This is no hustle or bustle here :) Our local commerce are Mom&Pop shops offering the essentials and a heaping of country charm and hospitality.

As you drive down the gravel road of Hickory Lane, look for a large 6' tin rooster on your right by a large painted rock with our logo and sign on it. Turn Right onto gravel driveway and drive straight going through the red cattle gates. Drive straight down the driveway staying to your Right. At the bottom of the driveway turn Left and go straight to cabin #1 which just past the red barn.

Its a bit of a trick getting to the cabin, but the directions the hosts gave were enough to get us there. I would not try for the 1st time in the dark. Other than that it was wonderful. My wife couldn't stop with isn't this cute? I appreciated the abolute quiet of the area.

I am from the area but live in Florida now and for my birthday all I wanted was a weekend of peace and slow pace. That is exactly what I got with this Cabin. It was beautiful, the owners are wonderful, and I will be honest, I may have shed a few tears when it was time to check out because I didn't want to leave. My favorite was starting my morning on the back porch swing listening to the birds.

This is my second stay. Once in the winter and now summer. I absolutely love it and a great place to slow down and unplug for a couple of days. We drove to Livingston one evening for dinner but cooked in the remainder of the time.

We had a great time getting away from the daily stresses of life. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed the trails and hot tub. Bed was cozy. I love chickens and was tickled with the farm fresh eggs left in our cabin for breakfast! We are already planning to return!

This is the second time we have stayed at Talleyā€™s Cabins, but it wonā€™t be our last! We LOVE it here. Itā€™s a beautiful location, and itā€™s perfect for our long weekend getaways. The Talleys are always the perfect hosts and provide the cleanest property, the best breakfast items, and the easiest check in and check out processes. We have not been disappointed with anything ever. We will absolutely find a way to get back here before summer! (And maybe during summer!) Donā€™t miss out on this gem!

This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The property was nice with some trails and lots of fossils to find. The cabin was tucked away, out of sight of any of the other cabins. It was clean and comfortable. Light pollution was minimal so the stars were bright and vibrant. And because the hot tub is drained and refilled before each check-in, itā€™s not overly treated with caustic chemicals, making it soooo much nicer than most vacation rental hot tubs. The free firewood, breakfast, and snacks also put this rental ahead of the rest. Definitely recommend.

We had a nice, relaxing stay and enjoyed the hot tub. It was very quiet and tucked away from the city, but not too far out. We were provided treats and breakfast foods. And, the bed was so comfortable!

The peace and serenity of this cabin is exactly what we needed! We felt right at home with everything we needed for a getaway. They thought of all the details. I was able to work from home very easily here. You will not be disappointed booking with them. They are right around the corner if you need anything. We even purchased a few pieces on furniture from Steve's shop on-site. Such a great stay and can't wait to come back!

We came down for our 1st anniversary. It was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit, and the porch swing was great in the morning to sit and read a book and enjoy my tea!
