Beautiful Highlands cabin! 8 min to town-Pet friendly-lots of outdoor space

Little Pine House is a beautiful 1950 cabin located in a private neighborhood called Flat Mountain Estates. It is in a cul de sac neighborhood, so there’s no thru traffic. It’s great for walking with mountain views at the top, and Ranger Falls and Cliffside hiking trails are just around the corner. The home is a beautifully updated one level ranch home with lots of its original charm. It is on a nicely landscaped flat lot with lots of privacy and outdoor space. Great for pets and relaxing, and the outdoor porch with wood burning fireplace is always a favorite spot. There is plenty of parking for 4 or more cars, and we are located near the front of our neighborhood, so it is very easy access with no steep hills. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Highlands, and 20 to Cashiers. The adorable town of Clayton is close by too. Oak Steakhouse is just 4 minutes away down Flat Mountain rd in the Skyline Lodge. We love everything about this spot, and sincerely think you will too!

With a busy wedding weekend schedule, it was nice to come back to the cute and peaceful cabin home to relax. While it was in a neighborhood, we had the feeling we were in a secluded area as we sat out in the screened-in porch in front of the fireplace. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

We've rented a lot of houses in a lot of places - this one was the most thoughtfully stocked home we've ever seen. All those little things that always seem to be missing, they're there. Every. Little. Thing. And then some.The home is immaculate - high end touches - super comfortable. The patio with tv and fireplace was where we spent our evenings. The trail head for Ranger Falls is a short walk from the home - beware, the outbound is all downhill leading to an uphill walk home!Would give it 6 stars across the board if we could...Thanks for a great stay!

It's a wonderful place to visit. A very eclectic cabin set in the woods, it has a fully equipped kitchen (appliances, pans, utensils, spices... the works!). 4 adults with plenty of room. We certainly enjoyed sitting on the screened porch with the fireplace going. Highly recommended.

The Little Pine Cabin was perfect in every way. It is in a wonderful location; easy drive only a short distance from downtown Highlands. Prior to our stay the hosts were in touch on more than one occasion with suggestions for restaurants and places of interest. We couldn't have asked for better communication from them. The cabin has every amenity with a special coffee bar, fully stocked, along with a welcome bottle of wine. It was a special experience with all that this home offered. We will definitely return. Many thanks to our host for making this visit memorable!

Very cozy house making it easy to relax and unwind. Although the weather was mostly wet and rainy the house was so comfortable and inviting with the fireplace on porch and the games in the cabinet. We caught up on some Christmas movies and enjoyed cooking a nice meal in the well equipped kitchen.

This little cottage was absolutely amazing! It was cozy, inviting, incredibly clean and I can’t begin to describe how well amenitized this home was. We planned to cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner here, and normally that means packing your entire kitchen to do so. This lovely little cottage had literally everything we needed. On top of that, there is a beautifully stocked coffee bar and a lovely bottle of welcome wine. As everyone knows, Thanksgiving weekend is a football weekend, and there were ample and large televisions with all of the apps suitable to watch any game. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the fireplaces inside and out made for the loveliest holiday weekend. This home made us feel, like we were staying in a friends home, not a random rental property. I could go on and on about the thoughtfulness given to furnish and stock this home. Absolute Perfection!

I was visiting Highlands as the Hurricane approached and needed to wait it out in the house. We lost power but with fireplace (wood provided) and abundance of lanterns, batteries and candles was able to manage fine. I felt safe and secure in this home and glad it survived without any damage I could see— except tree damage. The owners were very helpful and worked with me to arrive early and depart when I could to avoid the worst. They also provided drinks in a small refrigerator that I appreciated during the blackout. I do hope to return to this sweet home. The neighborhood is very friendly and all helped each other during the storm.

Two very dear friends and I finally managed a long weekend away. While I was a bit nervous about finding just the right place, my fears were quickly alleviated the moment we arrived. The cabin is located in a quiet, private and peaceful neighborhood where we felt very safe, and where downtown Highlands was just a short and easy drive away. Once inside the cabin is absolutely adorable, cozy and comfortable. The kitchen has new, high end appliances, and is well stocked with nearly everything you could need or want. The coffee bar is also stocked with a variety of coffees, creamer, assorted beautiful mugs and drip and pod coffee makers. The screened porch is a lovely spot to relax with a wood burning fireplace and comfy furniture, as well as a beverage refrigerator filled with water, soda, seltzer, juice, and wine. The owners of the cabin take great care of their home and their guests with easy communications, and by providing everything from nice, large size hand soaps, shampoo, and body wash, to a nice bottle of wine, frosted mugs in the freezer, and cozy throws in a basket in the den. The bedding and pillow were all excellent quality and very comfortable. There is so much to enjoy at The Little Pine Cabin that we just didn’t have enough time for, including the outdoor fire pit, hammocks, and a nice yard for kids or pups. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. My friends and I heartily agree that visiting The Little Pine Cabin was time and money well spent.

My wife and I love Highlands and the surrounding area. By the end of August, we have had all the summer heat we can stand. This cabin was the medicine we needed! It is beautiful, well appointed, not too far from town. The weather was perfect. A couple of days of soft rain made the screened in patio feel like a piece of heaven. We'll be back!

This is simply the best. It’s beautiful and comfortable and includes everything you could possibly need. The setting is just lovely and the neighborhood is special. But what sets this apart from others are the hosts. They are exceptional. Kind and thoughtful and generous. They were so understanding when s hurricane delayed us. This mountain home is the perfect place to unplug. We lived on the screened porch enjoying movies and a fire - we enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and found the beds comfortable. The decor is beautiful and the home is very well kept. The neighborhood and quiet and peaceful, but stores and restaurants are a quick drive away. There is a hiking trail right near the home. We'd definitely return!

Everything about our stay was simply perfect. From the ease of booking and the communication with Neely and Jennings before and during our trip. They are the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to make my birthday special. The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood, and we enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch. All the little touches make you feel like you are staying at a friend's home rather than a rental. The cabin is so cozy and there are lots of places to hang out. The furniture and beds are comfortable, and everyone slept well during our trip. We enjoyed the coffee bar, beverage fridge and the luxury soaps in the bathrooms. We are already talking about coming back for a longer trip.

Hard to know where to start! We had the BEST time here for a quick little family getaway after Thanksgiving. Our kids loved the hammocks and outdoor fire pit area. The house is well equipped with everything you might need. So many thoughtful little touches throughout the house that show how much the owners care about your stay! I'm so sad to leave! The cabin was spectacular, from the decor, to all the extra special touches. We felt right at home from the minute we opened the door. We spent a lot of our time on the back porch, watching TV and enjoying the warm fire place. Then retiring to the cozy living room for a movie and dinner. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we would need. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our 3 night get-a-way with our 3 young children so much at the Highlands Cozy Pine Cabin. The screened porch with wood-burning fireplace (wood provided) and large TV was our favorite place to hang out. We could sit on the porch while our kids played outside in the woods, all within sight of the porch but still secluded enough from the other properties. The kitchen's high-end KitchenAid appliances and ice machine were a nice upgrade to the smaller kitchen, and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items needed for our family of 5. I also greatly appreciated the provided coffee items for drip or Keurig as well as the mini-fridge of drinks on the porch. The cabin was beautifully designed & decorated and since we visited in November, it was also tastefully decorated with Pumpkins, seasonal candles, and other Fall themed items which really helped set the scene for our visit. We truly enjoyed our time and hope to visit again soon!

This cabin was a fabulous rental. It is in a beautiful neighborhood that is walkable and very quiet. The cabin was so comfortable and the screened porch with the fireplace was extremely relaxing. The attention to details of what you would need was superb. The kitchen had everything you could need. The beverage station was a plus. Would highly recommend this cabin.
