"Scarborough Hill Country Inn is a a gem! We were pleased to be offered a room upgrade when we arrived as we had initially booked a small double room and a larger room was available. We were very happy with the room offered - bright, airy, thoughtfully furnished and extremely clean. An extensive range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate were provided in the room along with complementary water. The restaurant was busy, however staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble. 5 stars for the food...

Because the hotel was closed for refurbishment - and EXPEDIA failed to notify us prior to travelling - and also EXPEDIA refused to share our phone number with the hotel so they were unable to inform us in advance of our arrival - fortunately the hotel staff were able to assist us in gettinga ccomodation nearby. "Great location in wells, ample parking outside the pub. Excellent and helpful staff. Clean and cool room (great air conditioning in this weather).. There was a pub quiz in the evening, great food, and the breakfast was wholesome and hearty’ The only issue was the smell from the bathroom (likely the sewage)."

"Lovely old building and themed rooms. We were allocated the China room as we told the hotel ahead of time we were celebrating our Sapphire wedding anniversary so it was lovely that it was all blue. My only criticism was that in hindsight, it was a very expensive hotel with no reception, no spa (we booked into the orange grove for treatments but assumed it was a proper spa with swimming pool only to find it was just rooms adjacent to the hotel.) £210 per night was a tad over the top just for a...

"We had an amazing stay here and would definitely recommend! We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade on our room and it was beautifully decorated. They were friendly at check in and took us to our room, leaving us some shortbread biscuits. Breakfast in the Grain store was amazing, we also had dinner there."

"Beautiful hotel, rooms and breakfast freshly cooked. However, when arrived they hadn't got the booking through, which also caused an issue at breakfast time. We arrived at breakfast at peak time but they could do with more staff as it was chaotic. Had to wait 20 mins for them to take the order and no vegetarian sausages. Lovely location, and lots of car parking space."
