"No all employees speak or understand good English, however, they were all polite. The diner was below expectations - a lot of different meals but none of them tasty nor fresh; the breakfast was better. In the rooms the bathtub is very small like in normal japanese residences. The onsen is nice, with baths inside and outside, and individuals baths."

"The hiking above Mii Dera temple was amazing. A lot of hiking options for outdoor enthusiasts. The Mii Dera temple is also not crowded and a joy to stroll around 20 minutes walk from hotel koo. "

"The hotel it's small but super clean and well done. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom huge. The only thing is that is on a quiet neighborhood so it's like 20 minute walk to the canal and Nishiki market but still centric enough. Also, the futon sounds like a good idea until the second night and your hips are dying...just saying. It's not as easy as you think if you are 35 or older..."

"This is the perfect place for an authentic Japanese experience. The staff are wonderful and the meals are superb. Tranquil surroundings with a 5 star multi-course meals each day for breakfast and dinner. The sauna and hot baths were great for winding down after a day of touring. Touring was easy because bus lines and train lines are nearby. We were sorry to leave the Tea House and really hope to return some day. "
