Perfect Place for N Georgia Mountains
Everything about this place was wonderful! The view from the balcony of the lake and the mountains was amazing. In just a few days, we were able to visit Helen, Brasstown Bald, Clayton and Black Rock Mountain. Thank you to Barbara for providing a lovely mountain home.

Love the views!
We have stayed here several times. We love the large deck with the views of mountains and the lake. The neighborhood is nice and quiet.

Fantastic location! Gorgeous views of Lake Chatuge and a mountain backdrop. Enjoyed the outside gas fire pit to relax and see the beautiful sunsets. Cheers to the hostess for our comfortable stay.

Everything was awesome!
The home was well-equipped and beautiful. The location couldn't have been better. The views were spectacular. Barbara was available and extremely generous when my mom had a sudden illness and was hospitalized for 3 of our 4 day vacation. The hospital was more than an hour away. Barbara comped us an extra day so we could all get a good n6rest before our journey home. Thank you so much Barbara for that kindness!

Everything was great. Don’t recall mention of stairs. Stairs were a problem, as my bride has a bad knee. Showers desperately in need of attention. Mildew. Everything else was great, especially the water views!

Thank you Sonny for the review. I will mention the steps in my comments on my web page. Also make a photo so potential guest are aware. I know the baths need attention. I am working on getting them updated. It is difficult to schedule work between bookings.

Great view!
We loved sitting on the upper deck enjoying the view of the lake. It was very quiet and peaceful. The town house was just as described. Any questions we had were answered promptly. We had a great stay. Definitely will return!

Great views
Great porch to sit and look at the mountains and lake! That’s what we do there, so it’s perfect for our needs. Close to food and hiking as well.

Great Stay!

Excellent...would suggest: 1 Towel racks in Master Bd Rm 2 Printed explanation as to Television usage...Particularly how to get local stations for local weather and such.

Thank you. You are welcome to come back anytime. The summer's are filled with lots of boating activities and my dock is available for your use if you should decide to bring a boat. There are also boat rentals available in the area should you choose to rent a boat.

Great Get Away!!!
This place is great to just get away and relax. Beautiful view of Lake Chatuge….any time of day is special, but early morning and early evening are Extra Special. Another plus…. Was very quiet while we were there… no interruptions with loud talking or music. Also a plus…. Close to downtown Hiawassee and attractions.

David, I have changed my internet service. I am now using Windstream which is local to the area. I think you will be pleased if you should decide to book again.

Beautiful hidden treasure away from tourist
This property was perfect for our little family of younger children. Our children loved climbing on the rocks and the water off the dock. The parents loved Hiwassee Brew across the street (great food, music, drinks) after a beautiful hike to High Shoals (waterfall). It was a quick drive to Helen GA for Oktoberfest and then to Track Stables another day for horseback riding, with a stop at Crane Creek Vineyards on the way back. The beautiful colors and small town were perfect for checking out and enjoying the family!

Absolutely Stunning Place
This is the second time we have stayed here at Barbara’s lakeside retreat. It is such an amazing place. You can truly relax and just enjoy the nature and beautiful area. It’s also so close to many other fun things to do in the north Georgia mountains. We visited Helen, which is only 30 minutes away, and the north Georgia wildlife park and zoo which was amazing! The house is so very well kept. It has absolutely everything you need. The views from the decks are stunning and all the amenities are really well done and thought out. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are large so if you are seeking privacy it’s perfect. Barbara is such a wonderful host! We will definitely be coming back. I think it’s now a family tradition. Thank you Barbara for sharing such a special place!

Mountain Retreat
This was a great location on the lake. The house was comfortable and had most of the requirements for daily living (pans, dishes, cooking tools, handy wrap, etc. ) (No coffee pot but there was a Keurig. ) I would rent this again. Lake Chatugue is a beautiful lake. Surrounded by mountains. Usable dock.

Nice unit, Lovely view
A nice unit with a great view of Lake Chatuge. Well located in Hiawassee. 30 minutes to Murphy, North Carolina going north and 30 minutes to Helen/ Unicoi going south. Very enjoyable trip.

Loved the View
It was so relaxing to sit and watch the view of water and trees. Each morning the trees had more color. The bedrooms were large, each with an attached bath. Beds were very comfortable.

Great Stay at Lake
Lake Chatgue is beautiful and Hiawassee is charming. Location is convenient to area. Home is beautiful too. Be aware the home has stairs as bedrooms are located on lower level. Boat dock does not really allow for fishing because of its design and pontoon boat is not part of rental.

Exceeded Expectations
This townhouse was lovely. It was clean and spacious for us two old ladies who came to just relax. The backyard and lake view were more gorgeous than we imagined. Stunning sunsets. The neighborhood was quiet, safe and convenient to everything. Daniel’s Steak House was a great dinner spot. The host, Barbara, was prompt and gracious with all communications. Hope to return soon.

Majestic Getaway
Nantahala Bay was everything as promised and more. Barbara was very helpful and easily accessible. The townhome was fully stocked and very comfortable. The highlight was enjoying the large deck and yard with the scenic view of the lake and mountains! We will come back!

Ideal location and very comfortable accommodations
We had a wonderful, relaxing week of vacation during the last week of May. The house was very clean with everything needed to make our stay feel very much like home. The beds were extra comfortable . The property was ideally located and close to everything. We feel we will be back to visit again.

A week on Admiral's Point
The home was clean, supplies were available, owner responsive, and the view was great!! Getting off and on the dock requires some extra caution. Overall, we had a great time and were grateful the property was made available to us.

Thank you for your comments. Sorry about the dock. When TVA lowers the water level it does make it more difficult to access the dock.

Great for hiking AT
We day hiked the Georgia section of the AT and used this house as our home base. It’s a great house and convenient to lots of restaurants. We were there in January, but the lake looks like it would be a fun summer location.

Beautiful location and convenient to everything in the area.
A few hiccups with the VRBO app telling me they couldn’t accommodate my reservation after I received confirmation and with the check-in process. We didn’t get the code to get in the house so I had to call the owner. But after we got in the experience was great.
